Latest clean date.... 02/06/2007 that one was a bummer 'cause I had 50 some cleam days before my 12 hours of stupidity. Live and learn. I am kind of glad it happened now though, because I did learn a LOT from it and this time feels 10000% better AND different.

What a coincidence. I just employed your tactic with an OP. I told him that Gina had died of an overdose and that he had killed someone. He said he'd take Gina off their list. One down...
It's good to see you posting. Don't worry about the 12 hour slip (just don't do it again, lol). You're clean today and that's all that matters. Plus, you very nearly have one clean month. Way to go.

It maybe my not so rosey mood right now but birthdays seem to be overrated to me. My belly button birthday was awful. I swear desire and expectation do nothing but cause misery every single time. When I plan the day the way I want it to go life is so much better. But when I wait around on others wanting me to wait around it is just one big fat disappointment.
I got three cards for my birthday which I thought was nice.
I haven't had a sobriety birthday yet. I'm not sure I want one based on how birthdays in general are! Maybe I will plan out my birthday ahead of time and make sure I am in Brazil or on a beach somewhere.

I agree and this is a brand-new lesson to me. Allan had a choice of days he could teach his evening seminar and he offered to cook dinner for me last night. But given current circumstances, I thought Id better learn to take care of myself, so I asked him to teach last night. I bought many of my own presents and got exactly what I wanted. Like you, Ive been disappointed in the past. According to Dr. M, until I learn to please myself, no one else is going to be able to please me entirely. LOL, this applies to more than just sex.

My favorite date is April 9th, 2005. The birth of my granddaughter. She's almost 2 and (though she'll never know it) the reason I'm clean almost 2 years. (4/1/2007)
She can't even talk that well yet, but she made her grandpa clean.
I used to wonder when I could get my drugs. Now, I only wonder when I can get another hug from her. She loves her papa. I get lot's of hugs.
