Hey guys,
I'm seeing a growing number of posts on here that contain pictures of our kids (or, to be accurate, your kids, since I don't have any... that I know about, anyway)
Just a note of caution - with all of the sick psychos in this world, I'd be very, very wary of posting a picture of children on here. Remember that this board is primarily read by drug addicts, including lurkers who never reveal themselves. When they see a picture of a kid, pair it with mommy's email address, well, you can see the danger, however unlikely.
Also, I'd hate to see someone's child ridiculed because their schoolmates saw their picture that their "drug addict" mommy or daddy posted on the internet, especially with the latest advances in photo-indexing search technology.
This isn't meant as a criticism, quite the opposite... those of you with beautiful families are understandably proud and want to show off your kids, and you deserve to! But please keep in mind the sick, twisted realities of the world we live in.
Love,
Matt
I never thought of that, Matt. I'd be horrified if my kids were mistreated in school because of something like that. I was planning to post some here but may have to reconsider that idea.
Thanks, love, Kat

You are so right I was going to email the mods to see how to get mine off but I ahve been procrastinating which is a character defect thanks for reminding me I will post to them today.
If you used photobucket to post your pictures, just go back into that program and delete the pictures there...they will in turn be deleted here automatically.
Matt...you're pretty smart for a guy...

Mid-westerner? Just where do you think I live, Matt?
LOL
LOL
Ah, forgive my ignorance... I figured your cowgirl moniker put you somewhere in the, um, midwest. Where do ya live?!?
BTW - I'm currently reading "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues" by Tom Robbins, my favorite author of all time. Brilliant!

I love that book! My brother-in-law got it for me.
Naw, the cowgirl name comes from owning horses and feeling like I was born a century too late...I think I was Annie Oakly in my previous life.
Actually I live in Washington State. Lot of yuppies here, but a few cowpokes.

OK, then I officially rescind my comment. Tom Robbins is from Washington too!
Like I said, you're pretty smart, for a, um, hmmm, uh, drug addict? ;-)

How about a "recovering drug addict"? Now that's a compliment.
Lol
Have a great day Matt.

Yeah, I was going to call you that, but I was afraid that if I used the word "recovering" it would spark another 20 page thread!
You have a great day too. Since I'm 3 hours ahead, I can report that it's definitely a good one!

Matt,
Yeah, I thought long and hard on posting pics of my son back when I first did it.. and came to this conclusion. Whats the difference if a scumbag sees me playing with my son in the front yard, or online...if its the frontyard, I am in worse shape than online.
The ridicule you mentioned is more what I am worried about... but first graders dont usually come to a site like this..lol. But you are right, if he was hurt by this I would feel very guilty.
If i were ever to murder someone in cold blood, it would be someone who preyed on children... I only wish the goverment would take the same stance.
Regards,
Tom

I have posted the baby, and myself and the hubby......My girls no way will I ever put them on here. They are older and well just beautiful, and that isn't just a mother thing you know. I would love to show how beautiful they are, but email is a much better route given thier ages. I worry for them, and I don't trust many.....must be the city girl in me.....
Smart girl would be more like it.
I've been very lucky, every NA and AA meeting I've ever been too, there has never been a question of annonymity NOT being respected or violated. The majority of meetings, I'm sure are like that. Some things are isolated incidents.

isolated or not, it was still my experience and not a pretty one. i feel i should be able to share my story just like everyone else regardless if anyone dissagrees with it or not. you asked me just a few days ago to share and express things that were on my mind that needed to be let out like everyone else does. now i am sorry you have a problem that your program failed me. i was only sharing my experience as is you do.
i wish you nothing but peace well and happiness for you and your family. i hold no resentments here.
