The AA Promises
If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through.
We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.
We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.
We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.
No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others.
That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear.
We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.
Self-seeking will slip away.
Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change.
Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us.
We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us.
We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.
Are these extravagant promises? We think not.
They are being fulfilled among us - sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.
They will always materialize if we work for them.

in a reply to the promses with my hand on my hart i can say they are coming to pass for this drunk. A low bottom case with no fath in nothing apart from the coin,money, power and stuff.
How could have i been so blind I now look back I feel sorry for the chap what was. 20 years of bulleing intimadition and dealing
King of my own world (sad isnt it) the day i found out I had this illness a wait was taken from me On that day I had just about lost everthinghome,children, job and I met the 4 horsemen but didnt know it then. That was pritty much normal then.NOT TODAY but for the grace of (my HP)
Today my children talk to me and the relation ship started 2 years ago and I now know love and the self has come away slowly. 2 years ago the promises would never have worked as i wouldent let them today I am a dead man talking and its good to be alive thanks to the fellowship and a lot of hard work
