Well i was up for promotion yesterday wow never got it of course i was not up to speed on excel um so after the shock i start thinking to myself how can i turn it into a positive like i do lol well i never put in any hard work in pretty much like addiction if i had of done my homework and worked hard i would of got the job but hey no not me human nature i guess il do it tomorrow but now ive learnt tomorrow never comes. so anyway with christmas coming i asked mike to get me the excel programe for christmas im now going to work hard to achieve what i need to climb my ladder. the message here is work hard to sucseed at whatever your doing. jackie xxxxxxx

I must agree I do think they are the ones losing in all of this. Your strength alone......and beating your addiction, should tell you atleast that you can take on the world......Good luck learning the excel......

Jackie- I use Excel all the time. It's like second nature for me. Just start using it. Even if you are only playing around. Forget classes and all that nonsense. The best way to learn it is to simply use it. Mess with it. It's real intuitive. And it has a GREAT help file, so use that a lot. So next time you are up for a promotion, you won't be passed by. It's so much easier than most people think. In 6 months, you'll be an Excel "master"

Good luck next time with the promotion..... I am quitting my job (well, one of them) b/c I haven't been promoted in 6 months (in my defense, I was told when I started in this internship that I would be able to move up in a couple of months).... There's no room to grow here, the President of the company died of a drug overdose in Sept, the vice-president of the company died of a drug overdose last August.... The company is on a downward spiral.... So it's time for me to move on....

And youre woman enough to admit that you couldve tried harder - that took alot of courage to admit - I'm sure there will be another "promotion" open sometime son in the future.
