I'm going to talk to my Dr. at the clinic about this but I can't see him until the 26th. I have high blood pressure. When I was on the methadone discs, I had to stop taking my bp meds. Combined with the methadone, my bp was dropping too low. Well, the clinic I'm at now doesn't have the discs. (only liquid) I've been here for 3 yrs. but I've had to go back on my bp meds. As a matter of fact, I've doubled the dose that I used to take. My bp is still giving me a fit. This morning after taking my bp meds, my bp was 155/102. I was afraid I was going to pass out. I was dizzy and my face got numb. My question is this... Do different types of methadone affect your blood pressure??? I guessed dosed at another clinic when I was on vacation and a counsellor at that clinic told me that that was so. I have also gained alot of weight and I drink coffee and smoke. I'm also 47 yrs. old and all of these things have to do with my bp. I'm really scared though, because it's going up so high, then plunging down, then back up. Would the amount of 'done have anything to do with it? Could it be withdrawals?

My mom always had it sky high. Like 280/140 and s*it. Had a heart rate of 310 once and that was AFTER they had her on an IV at the hospital. Lady, would say "My whole family has this. I ain't going to no d*mn hospital". Yeah, but had me and the daughter opening her bra at the back, putting ice packs on her neck. That's dangerous stuff there as ya know Shirley.
