Does everybody relapse in recovery?
I don't think they all do, but my father has been in rehab twice and relapsed both times. I don't think the stats are in favour of staying clean, but I'm not sure what the figures are.

even relapses can be useful in the learning process of growth. " We may fall down but it's all in the getting back up part that makes the difference"
In the 11 yrs of being clean I can be sure that spouse has never relapsed. He gave up all , drinking smoking, drugging. Some timess it may take on the "gotta new drug " subsitutes whether its buying alot of any one item. My hubby now gets into buying music, clothers, fruit pies (lol) It still can add up but it's no where near the past. I have had moments of drinks with co-workers and smoking but that too I shall conquere no matter how many stumbles I may have. It's when it doesn't bother you at all that should be a warning sign. Otherwise keep on trucking the road isn't always bumpy.
