Are you still on?

Yes I am. What's up?
I just wanted to chat with you for a moment. What's your story as far as meds you've used and how long? I'm just looking for a little advice.
Well, let's see...I got clean and sober in 1984 and stayed clean from alcohol and drugs for seven years by going to AA and being very active in the fellowship. Then I started taking Vic's for endometreosis and then just full blown addiction. I stayed off of them for a couple of years but only to return to sheer Hydro hell for three years. I went cold turkey off of 30 Norcos and 15 Soma a day about seven months ago. I go to AA regularly and work a program of recovery through the 12 steps.

Wow. Do think that I can actually taper from percs after being on them for over a year? I've only got about 10 left and time is ticking. . .
You know, Nugirl I never could taper, inevitably I always wanted to get loaded and would end up eating more pills than I had allotted myself. However, others have been successful at it. How many are you taking a day? I want to tell you that the life I live now is soooo much better than anything I could have dreamed of loaded. I am so happy that I do not have to wake up with that monkey on my back...I know that you can know this freedom also...

I'm at 2 today for the first time. I'm suppose to keep this up for the next 5 days and then go down to one for the last five. It's the last five days that I'm concerned with. It still seams that I will be quiting ct. Maybe I should skip a day here and there to ease myself out of it. Slowly. I can barely type these few sentences bc the keys keep moving and the words are all swaying.
I just took 10mg of Abien so I,m to coherent right now. This took me 5x the amount need to replyl

Nugirl:
Good luck to you. You can do this. The withdrawal is uncomfortable but the good news is it will end. Take care and let me know how you are doing.
