Hey girl, have you spoken to Brooke recently? Please tell her to contact me as soon as she gets a chance and let her know that I do not have access to myspace or email or I would contact her myself. She has my phone number where I was living before I came to rehab and I would love for her to call Mrs. Rubye and let her know that I am doing well...Homesick, but doing as well as can be expected.
Today has been a bit testy as I have been having intense cravings for some Cocaine but I've almost made it through another day and I just got back in from an AA Meeting. I must say, someone in the meeting smelled like "crack" and it was a major trigger for me and I really didn't think that I was going to make it through it but here I sit.
Okay, gotta order pizza for my roomies...Love you girl...

One of my very good friends went to jail and detoxed. Then she went to a treatment center that you can only get in if you are court ordered. She has been out and clean for 2 years now. She has 2 jobs and she is doing SO good. She was addicted to cocaine/crack whatever she could get her hands on.
You will make it too....
Just hang in there and keep an open mind. Don't worry about Brooke. I will call her and give her the message. I will see if she is able to contact your friend.

Thanks for all of the encouraging words ladies. The past two days have been so much better and I'm really beginning to love this place. They say that many residents do not want to go home when their time is up and I can see why now.
Anyhow, to answer your question Rae, I attend groups and meeting throughout the day, everyday, and I go to an AA or CA Meeting every night except Sunday night. Last night I went to a CA Meeting/Valentine Dance and we had an awesome Speaker and she has 20 years clean time. All of the CA Meetings are great and I really love attending them. Thank goodness I am able to chose which meetings I want to attend, CA vs. AA because I had gotten to the point to where I wasn't enjoying the AA Meetings that I had been attending.

I will not have phone privaledges until Wednesday and I will call you as soon as I am allowed to yak. One of my councelors is going to give me a phone card so I shouldn't need for you to send me one, but thanks for offering. NOW, if anyone wants to donate some smokes, I'll dang sure take you up on that one...LOL...I've been bumming cigarettes off of everyone here, thank goodness everyone is really nice and almost everyone is in my age group.
