I've been going to the meth clinic here in Ohio going on 21 months now. Everything in my life is turning around. Meth has done its job, and I'm ready to move farther into a new life. Here in Ohio you cn't take your medication home. You have to go to the clinic each and every day to be medicated. Supposedly if your 100% in compliance (no dirty urines, attending all groups, meeting with counselor every month) you'll get take home's. But they always find an i thats not doted or a t thats not crossed and I currently know of no one that gets take home doses.
At the clinic I go to there are only about 10% of the clients are working the program. The other 80% try to convince everyone that thier clean.
I'm ready to move on. I'm on 45mg a day. Has anyone detoxed off of a simular dose and how long and how difficult was it.
I'm working and going to school and right now I believe that the clinic is the worst part of my recovery.

My man is on 50mgs of methadone and like you it's a daily pick up, he has a friend who has just detoxed himself from 60mgs and it has taken him months and it was awful. My man is doing a residential detox sometime soon it's the safest way a methadone detox is way worse than a Heroin detox.

good luck-- i want to detox off of it too-but ir seems i get alot of resistance from my clinic when i bring up that subject

A meth detox can last up to a month it's horrendous, when i came off the meth i gradually went down 10ml a week until i was on thirty ml a day( In the uk it's easy to get take home doses I used to leave the chemist each week with a 1500ml bottle and sleeping tablets) then from thirty ml a day I went two days without taking any meth ( I did a little bit of gear, but only a little bit to stop me getting really ill) and then on the third day I took a 8mg subbutex I took that amount for two weeks and then over the next week went down by a mg a day and then when I was on one mg I just stopped taking the sub( I took a few vallies to help me sleep) but that was it and I hardly felt ill at all. give it a try.
