Recruiting A Cheerleader

I know I need to quit, but seven years of habitual smoking isn't an easy task.I smoke like I breath. The only time I tried to quit I went through serious withdrawls, started having panic attacks and elevated blood pressure. They put me on Paxil and Zannex, boy did that suck. I felt worse on those meds then I did during the climax of a panic attack. Anyways I'm looking for someone to help keep me focused and sane. Any takers?

To what lengths are you willing to go to obtain relief from what you are experiencing ?
Good question. Any suggestions where/how to propose a solution?
2much,
Many of us here are struggling with the same problem. I would say the main concensus you will get here is that you need to head to your nearest AA meeting.
It seems to me that men have an easier time at actually having the courage to attend. It can be intimidating but if you get past that it could save your life.
Me

ME has given you an excellent suggestion.

you will find a personal sponsor at those meetings if you humble yourself and ask for one -- just like some athaletes have personal trainers.

only the sponsors don't charge anything and don't cost anything. what could be better than that ?

and a sponsor won't put you on meds and kick up new addictions. like others have done. is that ok ?

and a sponsor will be more than a cheerleader for you. how about that ?

a sponsor will be honest with you and will expect you to be honest with him. pretty fair deal, huh ?

give it a shot. what do you have to lose ?

as i'm sure you know by now, others have had success with ME's suggestion.
