Cynical One's post:

"This product (gvg) has not been approved by the FDA, is not available in this country, it has serious side effects. You contradict yourself repeatedly. You get the hopes up of those who are most vulnerable. I'm just waiting for you to start encouraging people here to be guinea pigs for an experimental drug. You must admit you have been over the top on this.

Once it (gvg) is being tested by our scientists, our trials, our clinics, proven to be safe and is approved by the FDA, I will happily eat crow. Until then it is immoral, unethical, impractical and dangerous to be discussing it here on this forum. I am not convinced nor will I ever be of your motives.

My Reply to Above Post:

Gvg is listed on this board as an addiction treatment. American scientists at our national laboratories have worked on gvg since 1986 they state. This is an epilepsy drug that has not been approved in the U.S. due to it's side effect of some loss of peripheral vision in 1/3 of people who used it for 'epilepsy' around the world. Some scientists say this is not a permanent loss of vision. The main point is that U.S. scientists say that the amount to treat any drug addiction is a far less amount than that which is required to treat epilepsy, causing peripheral vision loss. The FDA has now approved gvg for clinical trials in the U.S. This approval is because there were not any vision problems with addiction clinical trials subjects. The U.S. conducted two successful clinical trials with gvg outside the U.S. There will also be upcoming clinical trials in U.S. soon. This drug has been the most studied addiction drug ever, and this should count. An incredible amount of data on the research was submitted to the National Institute of Health, and then gvg was approved for clincial trials in U.S.
I have not contradicted myself repeatedly, I have studied this treatment for lots of years. I hope I do get the hopes up of the vulnerable, they now can have a real hope, something that has been proved to work.
I have not been over the top on this as you claim. People who come here for only a moment or two may be near death from their addiction, and they can read that there is a real treatment coming to U.S., and is actually available now for them if they wish to go just across the border. I posted many posts so they would be easier to come across to those who are passing through this website and may be at death's door, or for their relatives, friends. Crystal Meth, Cocaine, Ectasy/inhalants are death dealers and people have a right to have knowledge of real help available to them now before it's not too late.

Posting my gvg articles was one thing, but some of my posts had no mention of gvg, just my personal addiction problems. Other posts had both gvg and my personal problems. This was truly hurtful and wrong to post. I think that you are not only cynical but jump to conclusions, etc. Maybe you should do a through job of gvg research other than articles of the clinical trials, and talk to the scientists themselves or the doctor that ran the U.S. clinical trials....like I have. bump...i'm getting concerned myself Laurie, I don't remember much about you other than GVG blah, blah, blah!
Hey Laurie, why don;t you fill us in on your own personal addiction?
