b4 the dope got me.i used to see shows ALL the time, we dont have the great festivals like u guys do.....had perry farrell's lollapoolaza for a few yrs, but that is over with........We have lots of little venus here though wiht great bands coming in all the time, plus we r close to NYC........thats where the verve played thier last concert here in the states..

oh way hyped now........just read on richard ashcrofts site that he is playing in philly on april 6.but then cant find any data of where here......checked all concert listings for philly and no sign of anything.....key in his name and only give european gigs, but he will be on conan o'brien <late-night tak show> in two days....

As for myself, never did the substitute scene........went away for 60 days....first time after trying unsuccesfully to offf meself..detoxed.. .back home, went to just pay da man what I owed him <so smart of me> and then copped too <surprise>
had herion induced heart attack.......in cardiac ward for 10 days on suicide watch....then off to mental institution again..then to rehab........was quite a journey, let me tell you........came home to a house where two teens were partying entire time I was away, people crashing here i didnt even know...or did they I hear.......son got locked up in midst of party....so house was lke a damn bombshell, no utilities.flea- infested.they had dumped my pussies in the cemetary, even my beloved three-legged cat Frankie <after sinatra>, then next day home turned myself in on a warrant and spent 72 huors inthe pokey.least I was clean and not detoxing..quite a jaunt from happy housewife, pefect mom huh?......oh the roads we go down.
Was mainly a pothead all my life, and quite a happy one at that, then met a dude <of course, always a dude> left my husband.picked up heroin. I'm a damn genius aren't I........miss my weed, want to go back to those days of being just a pothead, jamming wiht mymusic in myhead, in mymode.......but i wont...
would love to have a proper chat one day, not sure if our time zones correspond...I work the 3-11 shift, and r on here mostly from like midnight to 3am, and like now a bit b4 work.....not much of an early riser

..Yeah..sounds like a journey for sure..when you done ya 60 day detox did ya cold turkey it or was ya weaned off any sort of substitute..i seen the bit where you said you never did substitutes..but im just seeing if you was detoxed with a subtute..was you a heavy user tres..or kept it to a minimum..im a nosey git.lol..

just got in from work......work, work work........and tired as all hell, off tomorrow though and so glad. brynn and i r going to get our beth orton tix.
As for my use...used for 4 years..average about a bundle a day....thats 13 bags here, of curse that varied depending on the days financial situation.....i worked two jobs through my addiction....and the one got paid cash daily. two jobs and was getting food for the kids from the church.....
Likei said b4 detoxed with methadone.....a 2-3 day detox......then as I went from place to place was medicated with various substances.....in cardiac ward, mostly with clonidine..not clondipine.or however u spell it.clonidine is a medication for blood pressure as i was having bad bad anxiety and it lowered my pressure, it calms you.....makes u drowsy......in pysch ward after that was still on the clonidine but alos getting ativan for a bit too.....its a benzo.....by the time i got to rehab, i was only on the clonidine PRN....... then saw the pysch and was put n anti-depressants, risperdal < anon-narcotic relaxant> and a mood stabilizer .......as i am now diagnosed bi-polar......bullsh*t that is....according to pyschs everyone coming off heroin is bi-polar.....have since come off the anti-depressnts but still take this lamictal which is for bi-polar.....about to come of that too, but have to be weaned off........ didnt have it for a day or two a bit ago and was feeling quite edgy...dont know y i stayed on it so long...fought with the doctor when he first gave it to me but he convinced me that i had a much greater chance of relapse if not on the meds........so i said i would take it for a yr, and not just getting complacent about getting off it.makes me feel no different..still get the risperdal prescribed but only use it when my anxiety gets real bad.........lately my house has been crazier than ever.....bricks coming through windows all hours of the night from disgruntled ex-boyfriend of my daughter.....him pulling a gun on her....son who is an addict, getting high again.....financial worries.....daughter was preganant then just lost the baby......andmy daughter is pyscho nuts has a temper like a maniac...although she doesnt direct it at me as much as she used too.....once i got rid of the boyfriend who lives in a tepee and have been clean a while...think they r trusting that i will do ok this time. when i first got home, she was freaking at me all the time..would scream out loud out front calling me a hepatitis junkie w**** for all to hear.....
My house was nuts when we were getting high, was meeting place central, brynn and my other mate we ran with would meet here every day to plan how to get money, house was always full of both my kids friends, also high.....both kids were getting high all the time.......sometimes my friends would just come hangout here sick waiting for me to come home from work with some cash.I was up and abut at all hours of the day and night.......they hated it and also fell right into it too......there is actually some normalcy to the house these days, it is clean, we have food and i am being a responsible person, we r morelike a family again, which means the most to me.....in spite of the crazy ex and my son's troubles......they still worry though, noe night after work a bunch of my old girlfriends were meeting at the bar and i went.they were waitng up for me when i got home, questioning if i was drinking etc......i wasnt.......drinking was never my thing anyway.......never had the stomach for it, and certainly wouldnt now with the hepatitis. ok enough babbling bout my life.........

Hey, have got this great music thing free with my internet service, i have been loving it........its caled rhapsody......I can program my own radio station..put in like 9 artists u like and then they stream artist from that same genre and artists u put in, I get to hear lotsof great bands.
so whats your opinion on the smiths? morrissey.....johnny marr......how about beth......love, love, love that trailer park cd........whats in your cd player now?

..Tres....Rant away..i enjoy a good rant..
..I was using heroin for 11yrs..give or take a couple of mths..but started using alcohol and pills from the age of 14..progressed to all different kinds of substances and pills thru out my life..not many a day went by withing that 25yrs
..that i did,nt use sum form of drug/pill..i used and abused anything i could get my hands on..got into all kinds of trouble..most of that time i was living at my mums house or squatting about london somewhere..but did,nt start using .(heroin).until i was 27..and the weird thing is..once i started using that..i seemed to knock everything else on the head..puff.pills.acid.ecstasy..drugs were a part of my life just as much as my friends were..but once the brown gotta hold of me..my life totally changed for the worst..i suppose the worst i got to was a 70 a day habit.(7 bags)..but that were,nt all at once..just thru out the day..even thou i tried to get clean before..i could never stay clean..the longest i stayed clean was just under 3 mths..so this is the longest i,ve been clean.4mths in a couple of weeks..i still get cravings now and again..but not as
bad as before.!!...yeah i,ve got a 11 yr old son.(12 on the 7th of april)..hes ok..he keeps me on my toes..i talk about music a lot to you..cos it plays a
massive part in my recovery..i play guitar..and love learning the chords to all the songs i like..its a good feeling to be able to bang out sum songs when im feeling a bit low in meself....im wasn,t a big fan of the smiths/morrisey but he was a big influence on the manchester sound in the late 80s and don,t really know johnny marr althou i have heard of his name...beth ortons cool thou..shes a skinny tall thing ..lol..but shes got a good voice..don,t know if you,ve heard of..kasabian..the doves..the feeling...im gonna try get that radio station you told me about..see wot its like..so thats just a quick run down of my drug history..anything ya wanna ask..ask away..no probs..nice reading and chatting to ya..enjoy ya day tres..Robbie..

i know exactly what you mean about gear knocking everything else on the head........i used alsorts before,soon as i discovered smack though.......it all stopped....i was on 7-8 bags a day at my worst(well a teenth)
it looks like we share a lot of interest in the same bands.
the doves are cool......saw them at V 2003 and they were s***hot.......funny....they used to be called sub-sub in the 90's(dance band)
