Hey Stacey....what up girlfriend??? Thanks for the shout-out. I am still around. Don't post all that much anymore but I am doing well. Almost 2 1/2 years sober. I just keep on keepin' on.

I'm still kickin' I don't know if its the winter and short days or what, but I have been in hibernation mode for the last month or two. Eat, sleep and go to work seems to have been the extent of my activities lately. Other than that things are going all right.

Hi Everyone,
I have had some health issues. First sick with the flu for a wk. Then bad pain in left shoulder, arm. neck. This is an old thing that has just become worse. Super Bowl Sunday Evening I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible pain. Even knowing the Giants one didn't help the pain. Hope Jeff from PP doesn't read this.lol. Had MRI with arthogram last wk. I couldn't drive or raise my arm lots of pain and spasms. Dr. is suggesting a little surgery. I will see how my cortizone shot go's and some PT before I decide in a month. Unless it gets worse.
Then there was court the lady who hit me at re-hab last May she was arrested there DUI and hit and run, this disease. I testified for the state was there for 81/2 hrs. I took 4 aleves then 5 advils for pain. The Dr. gave me pain pills but they make me so sick and I wasn't willing to testify with a pain pill. Anyway hung jury so back to court for round 4 in May,ugh.
I finally made it to the Endocrinologist to. The auto immune disease I have attacks the cells and tissues in your body. The good part is I can drink chocolate milkshakes and gain no weight. Anyways to say the least I've not been feeling well. I've never been one who liked taking pills but there are some I have to take now and I don't like the side effects. I just know it's not forever I hope.
I've read a few posts, but haven't felt like typing with one hand. My ortho Dr. prescribed a muscle relaxer for the cramps and spasms. I can get my left hand half way up the steering wheel in my car now. They don't make me dizzy, nausous, as there not a narcotic. Anyway tonight is 88 days no alcohol, I'm loving it and my family is so proud. It's a miracle. One day at a time kids.

Hi all. WWgirl hope you are feeling better real soon. My daughter got attacked at re ab a few weeks ago.The woman punched her in the face and scratched her and stuff so i guess it happens other places too. Good luck to you on your recovery. and Congrats on the 88 days. God bless and be safe

Hi there, just to clarify there is W W girl and me V W girl...LOL! So cool!
Anyways, life is in session for me (like I just posted in another post)...I'm going to AA meetings (3 a week right now and have commitments at all of those meetings). I was given the privilege to speak in Santa Monica at a detox center last weekend, oh but for the grace of God go I! I clearly know that I can't keep this thing (sobriety) if I don't give it away. I've been working the Program with a few girls....I've been working lotsa OT at work, we have a big deal coming up and I am responsible for all of the admin tasks...my oldest daughter will be 21 one week from today, how'd she get that old? She is doing well, going to school, working and she does party, shocking isn't it, LOL! My youngest one is 17 and still has this disease looming over her....but she is doing well, got her report card yesterday and it was jus under a 4.0! She is still surfing and we are still Boxing & Kick-boxing together....I'm a little under the weather tonight with a headache, but it reminds of how I use to feel everyday until I managed to get that first drink down. Life is good and full, just can't get on here like I use to...we only have one PC and my daughter is usually logged on......have a wonderful week everyone! Geri

Thanks Cookster, it is so good to here you have one year! So great! I love when people celebrate sobriety....I was told when early in recovery that if I just stay sober, I will get my life back and boy did I....but it's all good!
