Hey Sammy!
Happiest of holiday seasons to you!
I am so glad you came around tonight...I read your posts on Kat's "prayer" thread, and the ones you made to Shantel, Snowflake and Paula. They are all to me too!
It isn't an accident that all the themes we discuss here are personal, yet universal.
I am struggling today. Not so much with being sober, just with being.
I needed to hear everything you wrote. So thank you Sweet Sammy, for being alive and sharing the good words.
Peace.
Sarah
mornin' sarah ~
gosh - i'm happy there was something i posted that helped you. there's an old saying, which i have had to practice on more than one occasion (sometimes after much angst and pain i created within)...it goes like this:
"that which we resist, persists."
i like to think that i am in between stories, sarah. the old one is gone, and the new one is just beginning to take shape. when we already have a story we are heavily identified with, whether we appear to like this story or not, it is difficult to stay awake, to watch our thoughts and feelings without letting them dictate our actions. a clear story about who we are makes it hard to wait and let our actions arise from the deep and open emptiness of experiencing who we are right now; makes it difficult to allow actions to arise that may be inconsistent with how our story says we should move.
the only idea that comes to mind ('cuz it's early and i've just started my first cuppa joe) is to trust your HP that the story of your life is unfolding in the most glorious way, one page at a time.
hugs and love to you ~
