Sarah

Thanks for all that info Sarah.I will go check that out...maybe this weekend.
You must be pretty good....a whole different level than me.LOL
I don't work on art every day.I'm not that focused.I work on a piece vigorously and then will not touch it sometimes for 4 or 5 days.As you well know, you have to rotate oil paintings. You can't just work on one for as long as you want.
I would love to see some of your work.

I have a buddy here is Houston that is a pretty well known sculptor.I also surf with him.His name is Tim Glover.
He does some very cool stuff. He and 10 artist from Houston were chosen to do an exhibition in Beijing this summer.
A very cool guy.In fact I've had some conversations with him about doing a car in the Art Car Parade here.I can't really discuss it on a public forum because of the theme but it's going to be wild.

Here is his web site.

Tim:

How thoughtful of you to post that link. I bookmarked it! Your friend is very successful...it is so great to see an artist working and doing their thing publicly...and being supported not only by their city, but their state as well.

Texas definitely has its act together when it comes to art. The Menil Collection is sort of the hub for art in the West and the South.

I think Houston is a terrific city. It looks like your friend will be working on the highline project in NYC as well. That park is going to be completed in 2007. David Bowie is curating all the art and music for its big debut. Very cool!

Thanks for sharing that.

Keep smearing that stick gooey paint! It is good for the hand/eye thing....not to mention the soul!

Best,

Sarah
Sarah-Do you have a website where I can go look at your art?
Tim:

Working on that right now! It should be up by the end of January.

Shooting slides is a bi*ch...gotta get that lighting just right or be a genius with photoshop, which I definitely am not!

I will post the link as soon as it is done!
