Scars

posted b4 about a mark on my boyfriends arm that i thought was an abcess but this was a month ago now and if it wsa an abcess it seems to have healed itself

but the mark is still there but is loads loads better (prob due to the fact he has stopped using )

but the mark is there no longer an open wound, but the ball under the skin is still there a bit ( a lot smaller) and its a slighty purple colour

is this a permanent scar?

anything to do to help is go away?
Well, from my experience it may or may NOT go away totally but, it should fade to a extent...i know not much help huh? I remember your question about it. GLAD TO HEAR it is healing and was not a horrible infection. My tracks were so nasty when i first stoped, like you could tell from across the room that they were there. Now ONLY my right arm has a long track pretty fadded but, it runs down maybe a 1/2 inch long not a big deal. It is a TON lighter then it was. I went in all diffrent spots only that one arm seems to have lasting scars the rest healed with no evidence at all left. . It should get better might never totally go away.
yeah i was glad as hell that is healed and didnt turn into anything nasty, as got myself worried b4

suppose yes now all it needs it time to fade, it doenst bother me its for him i was upset at the thought that it would be a bad scar forever as with it being in the crook of his arm and with people knowing his past problems they it wont take them long to put 2 and 2 together and he doesnt want people to be doing that

saw a film today ..requim for a dream and jared leto's character when his arm goes bad was terrible....which kind of put my boyfriends into perspective that it wasnt that bad
i got a infection in my arm like requeim 4 a dream thing. Not as gross thou I could not move my arm i nearly lost it, spent 8 days in the hospital on i.v antibotics and morphine drip. Still have a scar from that infection they cut it open the infection ate a hole inside my arm. SO IT DOSE HAPPEN those sores can get rather nasty.
yeah realise that it can happen, and am thankful that myboyfriend was lucky and it never turned bad, especially as he never got it seen to and let it go on for so long.

i have had quite a few some fade but still remain a lump, as long as its does not feel spungy and hot, then it should do down.

getting metrondizinal sorry if spelling isnt right, its a anitbiotic and it heals them up within a week or so
It's not hot and it's not painful.

It has a 'crusty' head sometimes...he says it gets itchy and that after he has scratched it..it leaks some liquid and that is why.

Does this sound plausible?? He is supposibly not using at the moment. Claims not to have used for over two months now?

Apart from the crustiness (sorry to be so disgusting!) (and when i say crusty you can't really see any diff but if you touch it it has a bit of a hard head) it has been getting better and better..the redness has faded a lot and it seems to be getting smaller.
