Seizures During Withdrawl?

Does anyone know of a person having seizures when coming off of pain pills?

Seizures can happen, but are extremely uncommon when it comes to pain pills. They are more common with the abrupt stopping of benzodiazepines.

Perhaps if you give the good people here more information about your situation they will be able to help you out .

I've also never heard of seizures when coming off pain pills. Probably is possible though. I've only witnessed two people having seizures and they were from Ambien and from alcohol.

I have never heard of anyone having seizures from WDs from opiates - could possibly happen though - especially if you are taking a LARGE quantity and stop cold turkey or have another underlying med problem. From benzos, yes.
Might want to check that for sure with a Dr.

HI" i just wanted to let u all know it can happen it may be rare but iam one of those rare people who had a very sevier seizer when trying to go cold turkey from tylenol 3 pain pills and they had to jump start my heart because the seizer i had was to much of a strain for my heart to handle so i just wanted you to know it is rare but it can happen so thanks to tappering i did it" and i know its not for every one but it worked for me" anyway i hope i have not oversteped or afended anyone i just wanted to help as so many of the dear members have helped me anyway u are such dear people please keep posting and stay strong. thanks H... I am better.. My kid was in the hospital over the weekend and they didnt know exactly what was wrong with her ... turns out it was just a really wierd little pnuemonia... she is wierd like her mom....lol.... but she is better and home . and I am glad.. to have some of the stress of the last few weeks offf.... my car is fixed and she is fixed.... soo....

HI teresa" iam so happy that your daughter is ok and feeling better and for you to u deserve to be happy u are such a good person and a great mother dont ever doubt that your family is lucky to have u in there life i know how stress and worrie can be exspecialy when it involves our dear children my eldest son when he was 4 had to be rushed to the hospital and they found out he did not have much of an immune system to fight anything so he was sick all the time and we almost lost him due to a simple cold" but thank god the doc was right he said as he grows and gets stronger so will his immune system the doc had a name for what my son had but i cant spell it as u can see my spelling sucks lol....anyway he is a big healty young man today" i hope i have not babbled on to much' but again iam so very happy that your daughter is better please take care . About 7 yrs ago I was in Jamaica with my wife and ran out of pills, I felt like crap for the next 5 days or so ,kind of not in the body unable to focus rundown, on the 5th day I had a grand mall seizure that scared my wife to death All I remember is waking up inside an ambulance on the way to the ER. My wife said I turned blue and she was sure I wasnt going to make it . So even tho the chances might not be that great it can happen .Take care and best of luck. If your not a benzo abuer you might want to take a small amount each day to help with withdrawl and to prevent seizure. Ray
