I am in the medical field....and i know for a fact that you dont get on seroquel unless you are a mental case, especially as much as you say you are on.
i got this in a hate email, i was just wondering if all you other serequal users had any solid input and information. i personally take mine for bi polar, but hey i never denied i was crazy either : ) a mental case? maybe that too. none the less it is a legit med used to help with legit mental disorders. am i ashamed? hell no, irregardless of what the annonymous and gutless person emailed me i know who i am and your opinions of me, mean absolutely nothing.

I agree Terrianne. Never considered myself a "mental case" All I know is that the Seroquel, which I've been on for several years, makes me less mean and allows me to sleep, which before I had started this med, had always eluded me. I used to get 3-4 hours of sleep. Oh, and I take 300 mgs, so according to this person, I must be a total mental case...lol
Serequel has many uses. I am bipolar but the reason I was put on it was for insomnia. Along with my suboxene and cymbalta I am now sleeping 4-5 hrs straight take a leak and fall right back to sleep.8-9 hrs of sleep is most important to me. Enables me to work exercise and am in a better state of mind.
Like my doctor said when i began with her is to have faith in me. We may have to tweak your meds but we will find something that helps. And I trusted her and it worked.

Well, if you haven't been down that road, I don't see how you can judge people. So many still attach such a stigma to those of us who still suffer from Mental Illnesses, the same goes with Addiction.

I read about all these people having trouble sleeping. If they tried serequel I think they me be able to improve there sleeping pattern.

Terrianne The worst part of W/D is not sleeping. I hate adding another med as serequel is dangerous to your body. I have to take vytorin which keeps my cholesterol in check.

yeah i get checked as well, so far so good, must be my hearty russian blood that keeps me around hehe how is serequal dangerous? just curious. my dr will not up my dose. i will always stay here till i am ready to wien down. hopefully it wont be for a long time. or at least in the summer when i am in a good mood from the fun in the sun.

In many cases serquel raises Bad cholesterol.
That is why it is suggested to be tested every 3 months for liver function and full blood workup. Lipids etc.

That's terrible. I didn't know you had gotten anonymous hate mail as well. Is there no way to trace them back to their source? Or post them here, perhaps. People's writing style usually gives them away.
