She's Finally Here..

Thank you everybody. We are truly blessed and I am loving this Granma stuff.

Changed her first poopie diaper and gave her her first bath...nothing sweeter than that.
happy day to you,omie,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,love poopie
How sweet! I always loved the smell of baby shampoo and a freshly bathed baby! This is so making me want a little baby around. Guess I just gotta wait for my grandbabies.
Loved changing poopy diapers? God I love my daughter more than anything in this world, but I hate doing that. As she gets older the worse they get . :) I am so glad that you are loving being a grandma. That little girl is lucky to have you.

She is sooo cute,

LISA
Poopie...is Omie, Amish for Grandma? I love that.

Poopie diapers don't bother me a bit. I can shovel horse s*** all day long...it's dog poop that makes me gag. lol

I'm a little late for the dance, but CONGRATULATIONS CG!

Hi

In my language there is a "slang" for grandmother "oumie" pronounced the same as omie. Also the language developed from Dutch. Amazing how these same words pop up in different languages. I even understood most of the "German" that Tim and someone else used a while ago. Can't remember who.

I cant wait to hear If my daughter is expecting a daughter with all the boys we have.

enjoy the weekend

None!! ((hugs)) Thank you...

User..I think that was Poopie that Tim was talking too..I was quite impressed. I love that name Omie...it's different. Different that the same ol Nana..I refuse to be called that.
Lis,

Ahem, and what is wrong with Nana LOL..The Italian form would be Nona or Nonnie I think. My Mom was known by both Nanny and Gram or Grammie. I didn't want Nanny (reminded me of a goat) so I picked Nana...

I like the Omie or Oma too. I should have done some more research and found something I really really liked. Kinda wanted a connection with my Mom so I went with Nana.

Just busting you about not liking it LOL....They can call me anything but Jan :)

You must be ecstatic that the new grranddaughter lives nearby!

Much love to you and your growing family Lisa,

Jan
I think it's because every Grandma I know is called Nana...plus that's what my DIL's mother is called and I don't like her..lol

I am Grammy, just like my Grammy was. If only I could be more like her.

I like the terms Paapaw and Maamaw too. Very southern, which I'm not so we won't go there.

How is your beautiful Lily?
