Shout Out To Izzy

Anyone hear from Izzy? Check in girlfriend and let us know hows it going? Been thinking of you.
Hi Pirate, not been round much coz I've been feeling pretty low. Just everything getting to me, worrying about stuff and just basically pissed off at certain people. (not here)

My mum had a 'stalker'. Some bloke from her church was waiting for her at the park every day when she would walk the dog and he was texting her too. The final straw came when he made a move on her in the park and she told us what was going on. I knew he'd been meeting up with her but we just felt sorry for him coz he's a bit pathetic... anyway, my dad went ballistic and the bloke hasn't gone near my mum since. I can't even look at him anymore, he makes me feel sick.

Had an argument with my mum the other day, I ended up cutting myself again, but I had an appointment with my Psychologist the same day so I got it all talked out. Feel a bit better today.

It's two whole months for me on Thursday. Feel a bit blank about the whole thing actually, I don't get excited that I've done 8 weeks I just kind of brush it off as not that important.

Anyway, thanks for the shout out Pirate, sending you hugs and best wishes!

Izzy
Hey there Izzy sorry to hear you feeling low. You know what you have to do. Don't dwell on the negative. Look for the positive, no matter how bad the situation. Someday it will all come together for you. Just hang in there and give it your best shot. YOU have a lot of potential all you have to do is utilize it and good things will happen. I promise. I am going through a rough patch now myself but I am not going to let that influence my recovery and the positive things that I have in my life since giving up drinking. The way I look at it I am more equipped to handle situations sober than drunk and no one or anything is gonna make me lose sight of what is important for my well being or take away my recovery progress. I am becoming a little selfish in my recovery Izzy and I am learning its time to look after me for a change. We don't have to be a door mat to be liked. you are worth standing up for so gather your courage and your strength and go look after Izzy. (((((( )))) take care and hugs and smiles from across the miles
Hey Izzy,

I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling down....I have some difficult times still, life can be challenging and I guess sadness and some of the other things that we don't like go with the wonderful gift of our feelings - that can bring us such delight. I'm beginning to understand how to try to arrange my life so that those things that bring me joy are never far away....I love listening to music and my house is always dancing now....I have an iPod I listen to much of the time, and I love watching the seagulls swoop to the music....I'm lucky, too....I have my children with me most of the time and that makes me so happy. And I have my three cats, who seem to have the knack of knowing just how to cheer me up when I'm open to being cheered up....I have so much to be grateful for. It doesn't stop me being sad or angry or frightened at times, but it gives me strength to know that those feelings will pass, that they are not WHO I am and they will not sweep ME away....they are currents, eddies, swirls in the river of emotion that is me....and I can watch them flow away downstream and enjoy the knowledge that good clear water is on its way from the mountaintop and it tastes good....

Take care of yourself Izzy....and I mean that...they're not just words....look after your Self....do those things that will keep you safe, well and happy....you deserve all three and much more.

Love,
Martin
