Shout Out

Hi all
thought I'd do a shout out to those old and some new friends on the board I haven't chatted with for a while - I'm not naming names cause you all know who you are! LOL

I've been staying away cause sometimes I find I need a break from the board for my own reasons. Also I have been been pretty busy with everyday life stuff and got exams coming up as well.

I've sort of lost track of the days/weeks - but I want to say 7 weeks sober now? Maybe I'm off on that count cause I honestly do forget after a while - but I am kind of GLAD about that.

Its nice when drinking isn't always on my mind or counting days, worrying and obsessing. Now I cam worry and obsess about passing my exams instead - LOL.

Idgie
Good luck on your exams Pal. BTW...o/t ...I was watching Top Chef and one of the chefs made a pizza with marmite! YUCK!!!! I thought of you when he was making it. LOLOLOL

Have a great day pal.

I stay off the boards sometimes too. Seems like they have turned into a pulpit of sorts lately. I take what I need and leave the rest. Just like everything in life I suppose.

Hi to all my pals here as well. :-)
Hi Idgie. Nice to see ya again. It is wonderful that you are staying sober! That is definitely something to be proud of. Glad to know things are going good with you. Good luck on your exams. someday I will send you some pics if the snow EVER goes away but that may be July lol. Take care Idgie. God bless
Congratulations, Idgie! It takes what it takes!
Hiya Idgie,
I've been so busy at work lately I don't have much time but to pop in every once in awhile....I owe you mail.

I'm glad you're doing the deal and it was more important for me to get that good f2f support in order to stay sober....I could get some time strung together but I'd always relapse so today I am doing it on a one day at a time basis, suiting up and showing up at meetings and working the steps and I've found this time, I am living life on life's terms and that peace & serenity has come true....

I am so proud of you and to be your friend, your sister in recovery....

Hi out to Val, Pirate & SKG and all my other alkie friends on this board....

Smooches,
Stacey
Hi Idgie,

Happy to hear your focusing on school and one day at time. I to got mixed up by counting the days. Here in the states at AA they give out token chips for milestones. They have 30, 60, 90 day ones. Considering some months are longer than 30 days, I lost track to. Then they go by months and years after those. On a couple of bad and good days I was confused and excited. So now I just go by my sobriety date and the one day at a time. After all that's all any of us have anyway. A daily reprieve.

I'll be thinking good thoughts and sending them your way about your exams. I'm sure you will end up with good scores. Your a smart lady. You've always been a class act around here and I appreciate your posts. I love seeing people further their education. I've been planting the seeds with our girls for years and they are headed in the right direction.

I know what you mean about taking a break from the board. I was off here for a while myself. For various reasons. I feel another one coming on. Thanks for sharing your ESH and posting some nice light hearted threads. Keep up the good work. Take time and enjoy the ocean and the other natural beauties that are so abound in your country.

Take Care,

Chris
