Is Ultracet the same as Ultram, my doctor told me that Ultracet was not addictive.
Hi,
Yes it's the same and highly addictive. Bob
Ultracet = Tramadol 37.5mg + acetaminophen 325 mg (by the way, acetaminophen is known is many countries as paracetamol).

So to answer your question it is the same as Ultram but also has acetaminophen in it.

Addiction to Tramadol is technically vary rare comapred with opiates, unless you have a history of opiate addiction, in which case addiction is very common. Tramadol is contra-indicated (ie there is a specific warning) in anyone with a history of opiate addiction.

Many Drs still prescribe Tramadol to opiate addicts, unaware of the problems it may cause.
Hi Bob Nice to see you posting again I missed you.. Thanks for the info, my doctor will not give out any pain medication that except this she kept telling me it was not addictive.. I guess she is wrong. LOL, Never did anything for me and I guess that is good.
Thanks SP I will for sure stay away from it then.
Hi,
A buddy of mine I met in rehab told me that Ultram was the first drug he ever abused. I also had a doctor that told me it was safe. It was after I had some clean time under my belt and was trying to be careful. he knew I was an addict and thats why he gave me Ultram. My unwillingness to admit complete defeat at the time and not doing what I had to do for my sobriety along with taking Ultram, is what took me back out. Thank God I made it back and in fact just made 14 months as of the 12th of March. Nice to see you too.............Bob
Congrats Bob on your 14 months, I f**ked up again, but I am back on track again, I missed your posts you were alway so straight forward and I like that. I hope you do not go away again. I had a feeling that ultracet was the same as ultram, I just can't understand why my dr. would not know this, but I guess that is why we should always reasearch what we are taking.
