So Grateful For The 12 Step Programs...

Today I'm so d*** grateful for these 12 step programs. I went to a meeting tonight and saw a truly good friend of mine there who had come up to me crying. He had went back out after 5 years sober/clean. I thank the God of my understanding that he in fact made it back in. He was out there a little over 1 1/2 weeks to know that the insanity did not change. I look at my recovery, and the way my life is today, and I just had to say a quick prayer and remember, "But For The Grace Of A Loving God There Go I." I'm so grateful that I'm able to go to a meeting, have "real" friends, or true friends, and also be able to welcome once again another newcomer. For today, I don't have to go back out and investigate. WOW.. It hurts though I tell you. Today I have feelings and am able to feel, thanks to the 12 step programs. So, just wanted to let everyone know how grateful I truly am tonight. Thanks.. If no one told you they love you tonight, I do.. Keep posting.. Love to you all...

These 12 Steps have taught me a new way of life. It's awesome to be able to wake in the morning and first of all be grateful I'm alive, that my God has granted me yet another day. It's also nice to be able to pray, and thank Him for his countless blessings. I also ask Him to give me courage and strength to guide me through the day, as well as help me to do His will and NOT mine. I have to remain ever so humble in doing so. I must admit, some days are easier than others. I guess that's part of being human, wanting to take control and be "our own" boss? Well, I'm learning otherwise, that the more I give up and allow Him to control, the less stress I have, and the more peace and serentiy I have. As well as the more blessings I receive. Even the smallest of blessings such as watching a newcomer really start to "work" the program. Being able to sit with my children and talk to them like human beings and share my love and caring ways with them rather than being mean, or B***** with them. My son and daughter and I have a loving, trusting relationship today, beyond my wildest dreams. It's ALL do to the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. I'm grateful I've found my way to the rooms of A.A. If no- one has told you that they love you today, I do. Love to all. God Bless. Please keep posting..
So grateful for these steps and being able to apply them to my everyday life. Finding recovery is the best thing I've ever done.
Never grateful enough for the 12 steps and the program of A.A.
As I read these words that others share, it is such a pleasure to be able to understand and have feelings for others. These 12 steps have done for me, what I could not do for myself. God had is righteous hand in the writing of those steps. God bless all and their families and loved ones. Keep working the steps and living ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Love,

I'm coming up on a birthday soon, both navel as well as sober birthday. I can't believe the fact of where my life has truly come with the 12 steps and A.A. I went from being a completely hopeless alcoholic/addict into a "dopeless Hope fiend!!" It's amazing to see the progress in myself as my sponsor and sponsees see it. I owe it all to the program and the 12 steps of A.A. I'm just very blessed to be sober today. It still feels great!! Love to all.
hope fiend. Love it!
Yes Shane, a DOPELESS, HOPE Fiend!! Maybe my spelling is off.. LOL
