i'm dating an alcoholic. he just stopped drinking about a week ago and is being a bit of a homebody. were both in the service industry and spend a lot of time in bars. i understand that he shouldn't be in that type of environment because of all of the temptation, but he seems to be distancing himself from me in addition to the bars. i need to think of some places to go with him other than bars. any ideas? help!

Let me ask you something. Do you drink or are you abstinent as well? If you do drink, could it be that your boyfriend is feeling a bit anxious about a relationship with someone who isn't abstinent? Just a thought.
