Hi my Irish friends
A couple of my Irish-American buddys want to drag me into Manhattan (about a 5 minute train ride) for the big St Patrick's Day Parade. I don't know if you see it on television over there, but its a big thing over here.
The last time I went was years ago. To tell the truth> I copped dope uptown & got high> nodded in & out thru everything. Those were back in the days when Mayor Dinkins was in charge, & NY City was a little out of hand. Hell, even the cops were boozin it up in the "Irish cop pubs" along the parade route.
Now they are strick & watch for any open booze bottles or fighting. After 9/11 any funny business stopped. , which is a good thing I guess
cheers,
jack
Hope ya had fun, Jack and ain't got a black eye.
That parade can't even be near as crazy as the Puerto Rican Day parade y'all got in NYC......can it...........I was up there one year during that parade and talk about wild.
BTW, don't say cops and Paddy Wagon in the same breath............recently got yelled at for that because it ain't PC............I say what else ya gonna call a Paddy Wagon..................I've never been in one thank God!
Joyous St. Patrick's Day to one and all.........note I ain't celebrating it......but my eyes are smiling all the same.
