Started Over, Again

My daughter is leaving her inpatient program in 1 week. This is not her first time with inpatient. She is scared to leave. They want to send her to a sober living home. She has tried sober living a few times. She can't last too long without giving up & giving in. She was against going to sober living & said she wanted/needed something more structured. She wanted a halfway house or something with stricter rules. I explained she needs to get it spiritually also, it isn't just the counseling part. I pray she will go to NA meetings, get a sponsor and work hard on herself. She wants to be ok, and it hurts me so much to see her so unsure of herself. Please pray she finds faith. Not just in God but also in herself.
It can be scary for someone with such an intense addiction to go out on their own. My husband has been to prison, sober living, halfway houses ECT and everytime he would call before release he would tell me he was scared, Even having me to come home to. (i do not use drugs and have a safe environment for him to live) I attend NA and AA meeting with him, i actually learn a lot from them..being someone who has never touched drugs..Maybe you could attend with her and provide that support and acceptance. That can help them feel less judged...The meetings are such an amazing program! They teach finding a higher power (even if that something that differs from said God) and full surrender. Also she could look into getting an implant..They reduce cravings and some of them will actually make the person sick if they try to get high..It's worked for a lot of people! It can be expensive but look into programs that are willing to help pay for it in your community..I will pray for you and your family, addiction effect everyone and its so hard and hurtful to watch.

Thank you! I have gone to meetings with her, etc. . She will be living pretty far away this time, so I may only get to see her once a month. I'm just praying she finds the strength & faith she needs.
