A CHANGED OUTLOOK
"Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change". AA, pg 84
"When I was drinking, my attitude wa toally selfish, self-centered; my pleasure and my comfort came first. Now that I am sober, self-seeking has started to slip away. My whole attitude toward life and other people is changing. For me, the first "A" in our name stands for attitude. My attitude is changed by the second A in our name, which stands for action. By working the Steps, atttending meetings, and carrying the message. I can be restored to sanity. Action is the magic word! With a positive, helpful attitude and regular AA action, I can stay sober and help others to achieve sobriety. My attitude now is that I am willing to go to any length to stay sober!"
Thanks VWG step 6 the transition step for me. In rehab i struggled because of my old warped religeous thinking. And a Maori fella told me to fire my old god and find a new one KISS(keep it simple stupid). Well that night i checked the corridoor 20 or 30 times so no one would see me pray, and i prayed. That night i had an out of body experience(soberLMAO) seen myself sleeping and struggling and then i knew i wasn't alone and never was. I have become ready for god to help me remove my shortcomings for the rest of my life one day at a time.
