Still Feeling Good On Suboxone

Hey everyone,
I'm on day 10 of suboxone and I feel great. Tomorrow I lower my dosage to 6mg from 8 mg. I've been reading other posts from people who are also on sub and it sounds like everyone is pretty happy with their results. I'm so glad to hear that. Daisy, Mollyjean, Denmar, Gottahavefaith, Mitzy and whoever else I forgot that are trying this I wish you all the best and look forward to your progress posts. A special thanks to JonDee and Marina for your help and guidance with me, you have been more helpful than you know. I've also read some posts that were negative on sub, almost like this was the easy way out, and my response to that is I'll take whatever out I can. I just want out of pill hell. And there is nothing easy about recovery. Addiction is an illness, right? Don't you take medicine when you are sick? Tha hard part is still to come, and thats staying clean, and for the first time I feel I can do that. I have hope.

I am very glad to hear you are doing so well, and making such good progress. I can't agree more, so what if you are taking sub. as a way to get clean. I am so grateful there is something out there to help us. As I look forward to starting, and hope to do as well. Congrat's to you and i wish you the best of luck. I so appreciate the info you have given me on this topic.

Good luck tomorrow lowering your dose....I think you will be just fine.
Has you doctor set up a plan as to how soon you will be off? I am curious because it seems that everyone is on for different lengths of time, and I am wondering if this has to do with different doctors preferences, or the patient themselves and how much they abused........

Our plan was 6 to 8 weeks, but I'm doing so well my doctor thought it was ok to taper a little earlier than planned. I could be off in 5 to 6 weeks. My doctor feels less is more.

Hi, i just wanted to say thanks for thinking about me, i got the rx filled and its day 2 for me and i feel normal, i mean WTF is that, righhht?? hehe... but yeah i will be on this for a little while and taper off when i am ready, my husband is pissed off that i am on this , he does not understand, only us addicts do... oh well, so i have to go the kids need me, i will chat w/ya all later...take care...
