I have spent so much time lately obssessing about the things that are making my life so difficult that I haven't stopped to think about the things that make my life better. So, I decided to list the things that I am thankful for. If you have time today, please tell me what you are thankful for too!
I am thankful for...
God
Recovery
Family (These are not exactly in order, but I did mean to put Recovery before family because without it, I may not still have them)
This Board
My Job
Friends
Health
Counselor
Meetings
Home
My Students
and the many blessings I have received.............
I don't know how I missed this thread? Good one Rhonda...and so nice to see you back posting.
Today I am grateful for my health, family (most of them) and sobriety. Everything else seems like fluff in comparsion.
I'm really grateful though that I get to be present today.

There is a goodbook called The Noticer. If you liked The Shack you will also like this one. It pertains to looking at things with a different perspective.
Thanks guys for the reponses! I have really been enjoying reading the board these past couple of weeks and don't know how I was going without it for so long!

Good thread, Rhonda!
I'm grateful for the serenity that only recovery could give me.
I'm grateful that I'm able to be present and accounted for in my life and able to enjoy all the special moments I might have nodded through once upon a time.
I'm grateful for all the love, support, guidance and knowledge that was so freely given to me when I needed it the most.
I'm grateful that I shut up and listened.
I'm grateful to come back to this board after an extended absence and find so many not only still here but going strong.
I'm grateful for the close relationships that I share with family and friends and even for the not so close ones because there's always something left for me to learn.
xxxxoooo
