Last night me and my spouse were in the bedroom discussing what movie we would watch with our take away that had been ordered when my daughter entered the room and started up in conversation with me . My spouse her dad walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs so i assumed he was going to lock up and never Q'd where he was going .
About 20 mins later i discovered he'd left the house completely , i went outside to check if he was in the garden but no he was no were to be seen . The takeaway arrived so i went inside with it anyway he didn't come back all night and is still not back now! He left at approximately 9:40pm and its now 1:30pm the following day and he's still not come home ( im in UK ) .
He is / was currently in recovery his last relapse was august and since then he's been following his programme and taking his suboxone daily .
I'm completely bewildered I've got all sorts going through my brain and now im starting to worry .
I don't know if he went off to buy heroin and that's why he didn't return cause he doesn't want me to know ??
What should i do ? Should i go look for him or just sit and wait for him to return ?
Sorry, EMZ! I'm so sorry for what you are going through! When he left, did he take the car? Did he take his keys or other personal belongings? I only ask because there is always the chance that he did go to lock up or was out in the garden and something happened then...perhaps a medical emergency or perhaps a shady person from his using past. Did he take his cell phone? Have you called it? When he was in active addiction, was this disappearing act something he did often? If it was, then perhaps he did relapse. You won't know until you see him again.
Do NOT go out looking for him! This is a job for the police. You could unwittingly be putting yourself in danger if you go out looking. Let the police do their job. I will be sending all the positive vibes I can muster!!! Please let us know what is happening with you. I hope it is nothing serious and you find him alive, well and drug free.
