Well, how is everyone? I'm doing ok. I made a bad decision this weekend tho. I have had a horrible week at work, and my strength to fight the temptation to have a drink has been very tested. I did great all week, not touching the stuff. But then I went out to my friend's birthday party, with all of my partier friends. Of course everyone got hammered....including myself. Surprisingly, I was the most sober one of the whole group. I had a few drinks, everyone else had a LOT. But I know that that was the wrong thing for me to do. I feel so ashamed that I slipped up after 27 days of sobriety. I was so proud of myself, and now I dont have that anymore. But the good thing is, now that I've done that, I think i have an even stronger urge to quit. I hope this feeling lasts, and I dont break down again. One day at a time like Bob says.
Ginny Sue, are you around still? Please post, and let us know what's going on. If you are having a tough time, we can help you!
thanks for checking in mup. Shake the dust off your clothes and get right back in the saddle -- it's not the end of the world. That was yesterday and today is today. Look at it this way, you have 27 days of sobriety and 1 day of disappointment. Don't let the shame get ya now girl.
You are building resolve to take it one day at a time.
Concerned about ginny. Hope she talks to us soon.

Thankyou for your support Bob. It makes me believe that even though I had this setback, that's all it is. I am a little concerned for ginny too. Maybe her computer crashed or somthing?
Don't be ashamed. For me personally, feeling ashamed was a recipe for disaster. Just be glad you made the decision for a healthier lifesyle, and you sound like you are doing your best.
Don't give up.
