Never really had any wd's, thank God! The taper was the key. Now I just have to quit procrastinating and get my butt to a meeting! I don't feel like using, except every once in awhile I'll get a little thought.... a high would be nice right now!! But it quickly goes away if I get busy.

Addictmom: Isnt taper a wonderful thing. On the other hand, going ct and sucking it up and getting it over with is awesome too. Either way, it worked for you and having clean heads around here is nice. I too went with tapering, though with xanax I had little choice. I do my last taper tomorrow! Yay! Then, I am staying at .5 mils a day until we reach a diagnoses. He feels like I may need to be on xanax for along time, maybe forever, but certainly not 4 mils a day as I was originally prescribed. He also said there are ways to manipulate and switch back from one to another as not to maintain a serious addiction.
In other words, my problems arent appearing to be physical (hormomes, thyroids) he is thinking more along the lines of tramatic stress syndrome. I was thinking bi-polar but we have ruled that out. We just dont know yet.
