Suboxone Help !!

I think Johndee is right - I think you've been taking too much. It does make you feel worse if you do that. The rule of thumb with Sub is "less is more". Try what John has suggested. You should start to feel better in awhile.
Take care,
Mickey
The sub has a 36 hour mean half life, but once you have the right amount in your system you'll feel great.
Finding that initial amount that is optimal for you can be difficult, especially whn your doctor is no help. My doc called me twice a day for the first few days to make sure I had the right dosage.

Dont give up on the sub, just find the right dosage, if you feel like hell, take a nap, see how you feel when you wake up.
John, what the heck is sub. See, I don't know about this stuff. Is it for Wd's, or weaning off? Please educate me..
Suboxone is for withdrawals to help you get off of drugs. Then you wean off of the sub for a more comfortable detox. If done correctly by a knowledgable doctor it works great, if not it sucks.

Hi I don't know if I can help as I just stated my suboxone last Tuesday. When I started I have not taken any Ultram since Last mon am.I started the sub on tueday am.I took my first 2mg at 8am my MD kept in contact via phone. At 10:30 am I took another.I was still I guess Blahh & crampy. My MD told me to take 1 at a time every 2 hrs for a max of 8mg.For me the 8mg seems to be OK.I'm dealing with something else I'll start another post for as this is your time & questions.I have not had any Ultram since last Monday.A first for me in 3years.My body feels good. Not high just good I haven't had ANY of those cramps in my tummy or legs.I was alittle sad for the first couple days last week.It comes in waves the sadness,I rode it out because I kinda figured it was because of the changes my body was going through.UMMMM I guess thats about all except the first week I got feeling.....off is the best to desribe it.Not sick but just not right.I would lay down for maybe 1hr and when I got up I felt better.Hope this helped.I think your MD should be more involved in your treatment, thier lack of information wasn't right to you.Could you maybe get into see um(MD) and talk over your concerns and answer your questions.Good luck & we are always here to try & help....By the way I'm MJ and welcome
Confused,
I can certainly understand why you are confused. This suboxone is supposed to make you feel better, right? Well it should if properly taken. I started sub last week after a long addiction to vics and oxy. I tried many times to quit on my own and always relapsed. The physical and mental part was just too much for me. I told my doc my history and he gave me 2mg to start and then came back in 15 minutes later and gave me 2mg again. Within 15 minutes I felt normal again. Not high, but normal. I am now on 8mg a day, one pill first thing in the mornig and I feel really good. I will wean down according to my doctor, I have to take one day at a time.It sounds like you are taking too much and you need to get in contact with your doc and make him listen to you, if he does'nt, find one that will. I strongly advise that you don't go back to oxy, thats why you went to sub right? All I can tell you is that suboxone is really working for me. For me, this is my way out of that horrible drug hell.
I hope you find your way and we are all here to help one another.

Hello confused,

Are you in West Wa, East, or in the middle? I am in WA an go to the Yakima clinic. Have you tried calling your Dr. and speaking to him or his Nurse? What I know about Life is that you never get what you really want unless you ask persistently.

BTW, I am on 16 mg a day (Day 3 and I have not felt this great in years!) and I let them desolve under my toungue. It takes about 20 minutes a pill for them to desolve (Maybe Longer???) And that is soo important on weather or not you are getting it into your system. One last question? Go and look in the Mirror. Are your pupils pinned? If you are getting the Suboxone into your system then your eyes should be pinned Bigtime.

Hope this somewhat helps...

I just have a question, I'm waiting for my health insurance to kick in before I can kick this awful habit. I've tried before and the withdrawal symtoms are just too much for me to bear. I can't sleep and without sleep I turn into a mean person and cannot function. My legs get so sore I have to keep moving them and stretching them nonstop. Anyways my question is how do you get your doctor to prescribe you that medication to help with the withdrawals and is it called suboxone? I'm not too familiar with that stuff. Also does it really help the physical withdrawals and mental? Please someone reply I need help and I need to know about this stuff because I can't quit cold turkey..

thanks Stacy
