Suboxone In Canada??

Hello all,

I hope everyone had a great christmas with family and friends!

I do have a question though. I am very interested in Suboxone. I do live in Canada and heard its not available here? If anyone knows differently can you please let me know?

Take care!
I am on Sub. There are some places that have not approved it yet.
Have you tried to find a Detox Dr. ?
What is Suboxone? And what does it do?
It blocks there brain from craving for Hydro.
It also takes away pain from withdrawal.
There is a catch.. it does have a narcotic in it.
I am not sure how the rest of the treatment works
I am going to talk to my Detox Dr. on Wed. to take the
next step.
I just put a new thread up about it earlier with some links, all about sub.....I will bump it up for you and then you can read all about it....
You can also ask John or Neon. They both are great and know a lot more than I do. They have helped me so much.

Are you still there ?
Sorry Kiwi.....not in Canada as far as I know, wondering how close are you to the border.......is it even possible to seek treatment like that......
Also look into Temgesic, it is sub in a real low dose(200mcgs & 400mcgs) that might be available.....I think any doc might be able to perscribe that, but not sure.....comes in a patch....I haven't really read up on it much, guess I will now!

Its not available in Canada Kiwi, how close to the border do you live?
If your too far away I think Tina's got a good suggestion for you.

Good luck

It's funny that you of all people would be interested in Suboxone and be asking for a bunch of addicts opinions on how you can get some!!!! I guess you were probably wondering how you could get some for a friend of yours, wink wink.Since you are so clean. 2 months to be exact right??? Rae
Yea I heard its not available in Canada yet. I do live close to the american border. I guess I could drive across and find a doctor in Washington or Montana that would prescribe it.

Thanks for your help. I'll check out that website that had a listing of the doctors in the US that prescribe it.
You may find this interesting......I know you have some chronic pain issues you are dealing with...sorry as far as I know US only too, but it atleast is a new class of drugs all together...Do a search, you can get more info.......

The Food & Drug Administration has approved a new drug
for controlling severe pain. Prialt, known chemically
as ziconotide, is for those who no longer get relief
from morphine, and other traditional drugs. It's the
first in a new class the selectively block the nerve
channels transmitting pain signals. It should be
available by the end of January.

Please refrain from anymore personal attacks and let's get back to the task of recovery. Thank you.
