Hi posted awhile back (when I first got on a waiting list)
Well tomarrow I go for my "intake"at this clinic....Im not even sure if anyone can help with info,but Im just educating myself as much as I can.
I know how to go FROM an opiate to Sub but how does it work the other way?Going from Sub onto Methodone.....any info would help.

Going from sub to methadone is not a problem in terms of precipitated wd.
But I would ask some specific questions because they are what popped in my head as concerns and I am not sure I know the correct information to give
So I would ask if the methadone would be blocked by the sub and what they recommend and have found with others making this type of switch. If there should be a waiting period so the methadone can get to the receptors.
Also I would ask based on your sub dose if you should be concerned dosing in terms of having to much opiates in your system. This I have seen although not with methadone. Taking a high sub dose then using and getting sickbut not precipitated wd sick, it was a I have to much opiates in my system sick.

Hi Tina Thank you & I already have so many questions to ask tomarrow.,its taken me a full year & alot of thought to do this as I know methodone is NOT anything to play around with & thats not my reasons for starting it at all.
Im just at the point where this will be my LAST attempt outside of a rehab.If I screw this program up Im planning on at least a 90 day in rehab......At 43 Im so done with how I feel.
I miss me & havent liked who I am for a very long time.

Bad is good, got off the sub with no real physical and got through the mental. He is hanging in and getting thought each day.
