Well Tom just called me from work which he rarely does...and informed me that he found a sub doc in cherry hill (right next to his office) that he will be going to on Tuesday!! He will have about a 90 min eval and they will write him a script right then and there for the next 5 days...then he has to go back and have another check-up and do this a couple of times before they will write him a script for the entire month...he sounded so happy and excited...i hope this medication works for him...he is excited to try something new and not be doing dope!! Keep your fingers crossed that it works well for him...he has also been seeing his addiction speciliast regularly and actually likes him because he was a former addict as well...so they click very well and have a ton of stuff in common...Yay!!

Hey thank you everyone for the rgeat wishes!!! I'm gonna need them...I am so scared he isn't going to make it through the weekend to the appointment...he is actively using..and it is def scary...he is being honest about it and tells me everytime he goes tog et stuff and everytime he uses...which if you ask me...i would rather not know...being honest about it doesn't really make anything "better" but going to the addiction specialist and having an appointment to go on subs is a HUGE step for him...so im not keeping my hopes up...im worrying about me...and im so excited for the weekend to just relax!!!!!!! hope everyone has an amazing weekend...it is supposed to be beautiful outside!!

hey he starts subs on tues...well prob not til wed cause he needs to be clean 24 hrs before taking the first dose...wish him luck...i am keeping my fingers crossed...he sounds excited talked about it all weekend...how he cant wait to be done...lets hope he stays strong...

No doubt yer b/f is gonna have some withdrawls,how bad depends on his habit,but if he sounds so upbeat about it all.then 24hrs aint gonna kill him&he knows that himself,hes got the subs to take after 24hrs,so he will feel o.k then.so just say to him imagine if you were doin a 4/5 day turkey with nothing,that hopefully will put into perspective what a short time 24hrs is when you got some relief at the end.All the best ....Davey
