Hi Ginge,
Sounds like you are having a nice weekend. Thats great. Mine is going pretty good as well. Took my kids shopping at the mall. They didnt fight! LOL That is amazing in itself. Were getting ready to move to a bigger place next month. I hate to pack but will be glad once its done. Life is really good today. Its beautiful here in Philly today. We had rain all last week, glad its done. Anyway hope you have a great day!!

gi
Ginge, 10:00 am was a late start for me, lol! Glad you had some fun! Thank you for sharing your experience with regard to your reading. I sat next to a gal at my Sponsor's luncheon last week who does Readings and I'm gonna book an appt and have my cards read. I haven't had a reading in a long, long time...sounds like some good fun though!

Gina, How are you and Bob? Our Roundup is going on right now (until Tuesday)...3,000 people + ! Went to the Dinner/Show last night with my Boyfriend, his Sponsor and some other folks...there had to be 200 or more people in the ballroom...a guy spoke from South Central Los Angeles, however even though a lot of us in the room didn't come from where he did, we definitely all could find similarities, for that I'm certain. I'm leading a meeting tonight, I'm a little nervous...have a great day!
Hi VW,
Bob and I are doing pretty good. This moving thing is a pain though. I hate packing, lol. I was thinking in the past this would of called for all the booze and drugs I could get a hold of. Thank God its not like that anymore.
The move before this last one I stayed up almost all night the night before, started drinking and using the morning of the day of the move...rallied up a bunch of people to help me by bribing them with drugs and alcohol...intro'd myself to my new neighbors by blasting Led Zeppelin my first evening there, partying and smokin' and drinkin' vodka on the porch like there was no tomorrow! OMG, thankful it's not like that today!
OMG VW!!!! Have you been hiding in my pocket????LOL....that's exactly how i introduced myself to my new nieghbors in July 2003!!!! We do all share a common bond;) Zeppelin still rocks though;)

Peace Out My Friend;)

Hi Ginge;) YGM
Jayde, A girl after my own heart, I am a BIG Led Zeppelin fan and well, and Jim Morrison of the Doors, love, love, love him....I actually have a photo of him up in my office (4 X 6) and some of the dorky engineers I work with say, who is that...I just half-way smile and say my late husband...I'm a kook!

OMG, if you were here I would drag you over to the round-up, they have Tribute bands playing Zeppelin, the Stones, Humble Pie (love 30 days in the Hole), the Doors, Little Feat, David Bowie, all kinds of 70s and 80s tunes...I love to dance, my sister is probably reading this and cracking up!

Oh, guess what, coincidence that move I mentioned occurred in July 2003 too, second weekend!
Awww, Vw...i'd love that! Maybe i can come next year? Sounds like way too much fun;) Love Morrison too! I've got the movie, and i think i've probably watched it 150 times! Haven't watched it since i've been trying to get sober though....to many triggers there. I love "30 days in the hole" lol...well not literally, but the song, ;) Also "Drivin' that train" and just love love LOVE Eric Clapton!

Oh, BTW... my little tike is just great....full of piss and vinegar, and paying me back for my party days...it's all good, he's what keeps me on my toes;) He's playing outside with daddy right now...giving me a little break...i'm supposed to be cleaning;))) Better get rockin';)
Love "Drivin that Train" too, what about the song I'm not sure of the title, but it goes "...and I'm wasted and I can't find my way home..." ~ reminds me so much of myself...I was so lost...couldn't not cry when I'd hear "Amazing Grace"....either...okay, you're on, next year for sure!

Oh trigger city with the Doors movie, I watched it at my sister's house in my first week of sobriety and got sick...just from gaggin' ~ I think you know what I'm talking about with that gag thing when you do a hit of Coke, yuck, haven'nt thought about that in a long time...good reminder for me to stay the heck away from everything...
Hey VW... real quick as i have to get off of here;) "Wasted And I can't Find My Way Home" Was the title of the song.... by Cream....when Eric Clapton was with them...before he was "Derick and the Dominoes" Just had to tell ya....wouldn't have been able to sleep if i didn't;) Great, Great song BTW;) My favorite by Clapton is "Layla"

Also did you know that Clapton married George Harrison's wife after he died? They were Best friends!!!!

Familiar with the "gaggin'" ya know... when i read that, i could taste coke! It's just amazing what our addict minds can do....also, last night my brother stopped by my house, and had hash....i didn't do any, and made him smoke outside on our deck, and 2 hours later i could still smell it!!! YUCKY:(
Hi Jayde, thanks for clueing me in on the music. Was it George Harrison's wife Olivia you are speaking of...? If so, she went to Hawthorne High School here in LA and well, there is a whole story to that...she is friends with one of my friends from work, in fact best friends. Don't know if I'm making sense....good job on passin' up the hash...yuck is right!
While we are talking about music i like Comfortably Numb but sung by Van Morrison he does a great version, on The Wall were all different artists sing Pink Floyds music. also Sinead O'Conner does a great version of the prayer used in recovery but i forget which disc i heard that on (Diana Tribute maybe?)

Light and love Zac
