Sweet Pea...

I read somewhere that you play guitar...How long have you been playing?..
What type of gear do you use?...

Doug
Hi Doug,

Yeah I play guitar. I don't really know how long because I started before the pills took over my life, I would say about 1 1/2 to 2 years, but I stopped playing once I got really bad into pills and I just recently started again. Which just shows how pills can rob you of your life. I am a beginner and don't know much about guitars.

I am a very fast learner though and I picked up guitar playing fairly easy. As for my equipment I have a Yamaha guitar that is my moms. This is what I learned on. It is really old and she got it when she was 18. I also have a samick electric guitar and a Ibanez amp and that is about it. LIke I said I am a beginner and I guess there is a lot I need to learn right?
.............. she plays very beautiful...................................

and she sings, very pretty....................

whoo hoo..............

Steph...I know what you mean about the pills robbing you...I actually
didn't pick up the guitar for a couple years when my pill abuse was
at its worst...Even though playing had been such a huge force in my
life...
You start playing around with that stuff and before you know it your
whole life revolves around taking pills...I am so thankful to be off that
ride....

Doug
Yeah I pretty much stopped playing when I started taking the pills. IT was sad because I really love music and I loved to play and sing, but when the pills took over I just didn't care to play.

Now that I am playing again it is great. It makes me happy to play and sing. The only problem is I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and it is getting really bad lately, so It hurts to play and 2 fingers on my left hand are numb so I am having a problem getting the chords right. It sucks and The pain is awful nothing relieves it and when I sleep it hurts and my arms and hands fall asleep.

I go to the neurologist on the 22nd but I am afraid I am going to have to have surgery. Tomarrow I go to talk to the sub doctor and see what I do if I have to have surgery.
