HI teresa" u seemed up set iam worried about you" and please dont feel that way about christmas all though most of what u said is true but fear not this is one mother and father that have taught our boys what the true meaning is all about as a matter of fact last year we have a family up the street from us very nice people they have 5 kids and there dad suddenly took very sick and he could not work for some time and they had not been able to get a tree and my boys asked us if it was ok to celebrate gods birthday with them and also give what they got for xmas to them and my hubby and i shared our christmas with them we are good friends to this day and it has nothing to do with charity it was about sharing and giving as we have taught our kids as my hubby and i were taught by my parents as well thats what it all about right" so please dont be down there are still a few of us left who know the true meaning of christmas please take care. Sorry.. I didnt mean to sound upset.. I am just not a big fan of christmas these days.. In my home when I was young it was always a time of drinking and fighting and all... so even though I dont have to be in that anymore old feeling dont really fade easily.. then it is so commerialized that everyone (so it seems) just forgets the meaning of it...
sorry if i came off as harsh or mean.. didnt mean to take it out on you.... Hope you and yours have a lovely christmas ... my daughter loves it and we have our own traditions... she goes through her toys that she doesnt want or play with anymore and her clothes that she has out grown.. and we donate it... and we volunteer on evening at a nursing home or a food bank or something.. just to give her some perspective... actually we do that about three times a year but it seems to get her attention more around christmas... she really gets humble and thankful... it makes her feel good to help and it seems to help others cause they dont look at her like she has a hidden agenda...
anyway...
just thought I would explain.... my dad still drinks but I dont have to be around him when he gets bad... so I am thankful for that in itself...
God Bless

teresa" anytime u need to vent iam here for u as u have been there to support me u only said how u feel no need to say sorry at all" u have had a very rough childhood BUT you grew up to be one amazzing careing humanbeing and a terrific mother to your child" after all you had to deal with growing up teresa be proud of your self u are a good person" as a parent if i had a daughter i for one would have been proud if she grew up to be like you" i know my dad was an alcoholic and it was a terrible thing to live with i think what finely woke him up was when he drank up the grocerie money and when he came to the next day after passing out he came into the kitchen and saw we had to go to school with empty stomaces all because he drank away the food money" it may sound strange to you me saying this but him seeing us hungry was a blessing because that morning he checked him self into the hospital and dried out then went to AA and never ever touched another drop to this day he said it haunted him for along time seeing his childrens hungrey faces leaving for school" anyway i hope i have not babbled on to much here i just wanted to share that with you . your words are kind.. isnt funny how many of us can from simular backrounds?... I hate that my child will have to know that her mom is an addict but maybe the sting will be gone with putting recovering in front of it and knowing that at least in some small way I might help others .... anyway...
thanks again for your kind words.. you dont know how much they have meant to me...
God Bless you little H.....
