I gotta get off this thing & go to bed- Im losin it!!
It's kind of dark but it showed up. What are you doing up at 4 a.m? I have slept way too much this weekend! LOL peace, Shirley
Don't despair. I have trouble in that area also. I've got dial-up which is extremely slow. I get so fed up waiting for anything to happen that I just quit. I'm planning on updating my crappy pc this year though! Then, I'll figure out what I'm doing. LOL
Hi Shirley
It all started with this silly picture- now I cant fall asleep- So Ill be shot out all day tomorrow-
Im making coffee now & looking for a good Christmas movie- what are you doing up??
I was bored yesterday so I slept all day. Now I can't sleep. I'm on my own this Christmas. It's not a bad thing. I'm just bored. I was going to spend Christmas with the ex but my finances won't allow for a road trip right now. And my son's off to the beach for 2 weeks so here I am and I don't know what to do with myself.
Peace,
Shirley
To bad you cant make it up here- NYC is outrageous this time of year. From the tree in Rockefeller Center to all the lit up shops- very Christmasy

How is it in your small town??

I've been in NYC a few times at Christmas. Unfortunately, I was more interested in copping bindles than going to Rockefeller Center. I'd like to be able to enjoy New York clean because I do LOVE the city. But....I'm afraid NYC is a trigger for me. As soon as I hit the GW bridge, I want dope!!LOL.I live in a really small college town. (Boone, N.C.) Christmas is nice up here on the mountain. No white Christmas this year but I think it's supposed to snow tomorrow. The people up here are very trusting and nice. I think it's been good for me to be here for the last few years. Hopefully, I'll be here for awhile.
peace,
Shirley
Well Kiddo-
I gotta crash for a bit-- Ill talk to ya later-

say hello to BOONE,NC for me- - Its sounds like a nice quite place

love,peace,& respect

Jack,

You look like a kid. No kidding. Sandy is beautiful. I hope she enjoyed Christmas, and this year no more health woes. You have a great woman there, and beautiful as well.

O.K. you live in NYC, Jack? Why don't I know that? You talked turnpike, but I thought you were way far away. Man, I go to Trenton, and get on the train, and I'm in NYC like I guess an hour and a half or so.

LOVE NYC at Christmas. FAO Schwartz. Shopping is way better then here.
Man, Shirley comes from such a small town, and then went to NYC and copped. I can tell ya I got sick up there and was a nervous wreck the whole time. Used to go up alot for the talent agent and manager. I would not DARE even think of looking for dope in NYC.

Shirley, can't say I saw it high, but maintaining, yeah. Broadway is so much better clean I can tell ya that. Then jazz shows. The Algonquin. Love it all.
As kids we always hit NYC for Christmas. Man, now I am mourning my dad again as he loved NYC. Loved it. That man could walk miles there, and knew it well. Me? Got lost when I was there myself.

You two better sleep in. Shirley hope the deliveries are going well.
Bryn,

Actually I live in a small urban town on the Jersey side of the Hudson river. I grew up until I was 13 in the Chelsea section of Manhattan .Ya know- Diniro,s film festivals & sh**.
When High School began -we packed up and moved- I just they thought it was suburbia, but it is just a town that couldnt fit in the City because of the river.
I still spend lots of time in the City as its what I know & have friends & family there.
No matter what though I have to take that Turnpike all the way to the Ben Franklin Bridge (I think) to get to Philly.

SH** I have to go to work today- imagine the day after Christams!!. Oh well- - I used all my personal days ,so its kinda my fault.

That is a long way to go. At the time, Me and my old man lived in knoxville, Tn. We had a really nice place but we were never there. We were on the road to or from NYC all the time. Every time I went, I said,"This time I'm going to catch a show". Of course, I never did. I spent all my money on dope! A friend up there got us reservations at the rainbow room once. I didn't even make that. And the maitre' d got so mad 'cause we didn't show up, he wouldn't help us again!! I still had a great time in the city. I loved to just sit on a stoop and watch life go by. I met this guy in Thompkin,s Park and we still keep in touch. Everytime I'm in the city, we eat at the Kiev. I know this crazy russian too. We call him the zanax monster. I used to get high in the NA biulding,s restroom. I feel bad about that now. I didn't give a crap then, though. I thought it was funny. I'd love to go to the city now and just see the sights. I'm afraid to, though.
Peace,
Shirley
Don't work to hard, Jack. I have to go back, tomorrow. I haven't worked there long enough to dread going in yet. I'm still happy to be working. LOL
Aww Jack, look at the stockings hanging by the chimney! That's just beautiful... What did Santa bring you? I had a crap year for presents, by I don't care, coz I like that noble feeling when you've made more effort for other people than they made for you. It's better than feeling guilty coz you couldn't be arsed to buy any presents but other people bought for you. I got a Snowpatrol cd, which I bought for myself, and supposedly my boyfriend will give me the money for it, along with the money he owes me for buying presents for all his family, plus what he owes me for paying his mortgage this month, a watch and a scarf from my boyfriends mam, and another scarf and a pair of gloves from my ex's grandmother. And that's about the long and the short of it. So I haven't been exactly spoiled this year. But my mum and dad will be back from South Africa in February, and my mum, in typical fashion, will have gone bonkers knitting stuff for the baby (I'm 7 months pregnant, and the cardigan she knitted me for my birthday in June is still too big for me!) and will have bought "all the nice baby stuff that you can only get out here...". I remember being the only girl in my school who had socks trimmed with lace... That's what my grandparents always brought home from Africa. Lacey socks and biltong! And my aunt in Pretoria always asks for us to send her Thorntons chocolate and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce. You can't beat a bit o' Lea an' on your cheese on toast!

But I've got the best present of all, and she's wriggling about inside me. I bet my mum will buy all these girlie baby clothes and I'll end up with a boy. I personally can't be arsed with all the pretty dresses etc when they're tiny. Baby gro's, romper suits, that's my idea of dressing a baby. Not fiddly tights, and expensive dresses, which are only gonna get splattered in puke and s***! Save that till they can feed themselves and use a potty!

much love
