Thank God I'm Sober For This.

Dear friends on the board,

I have just learned that my mother has lymphoma (sp?).

I am still absorbing the blow, I kept thinking though - thank God I'm sober today, thank God I can put her first right now.

Even though I struggled so much staying sober this last 8 months I know now that this is why I was led to AA last year. So that I can be sober to face this and to be there for my family right now.
