i wonder if the fright of going through that horrid leg pain like u want to jump out of ur skin and flip around in bed like a fish out of water actually makes it harder for people to quit doing "casual pills"???? you say, " well...just a couple so i can sleep"....."ummm, gee...a couple here and their wont kill me, at least i wont have the poops and sore muscles".....and we blame the crap we dont want to face instead of the crap were doing!?...ya know?....its like justifying the whole thing.....suboxone is great but what then?...do you detox?...im in my last week of the stuff, starting with 3 pills a day and now down to a half pill a day....im just not looking forward to any withdrawals....naturally....but thats the hard part for me i think....if you could get the feeling and stop anytime, wowsa!! just not sure bout this suboxone stuff......dont want to be a bucking bronco kids!!! :)
Wally,i hear you loud and clear.Ive been on sub going on 6 months now,its time for me to start cutting back,im a little worried too,but i will take it slow, thats what they say to do.Take it slow. You'll be alright.~KIM
ive been taking like a quarter piece the last couple days kim.....now i have the poopies and leg pain....aweful....that weird daizy feeling....like thumper is all the time u know?? just kidding...dont want her to get all fired up.....i hate the thougtht of whats to come...i think thats what makes it the hardest to quit for me.....well..before three months ago.....i just hope theirs no "other" to come off this one kim.....
Restless leg syndrome...RLS
I had terrible cramping in my legs, even my toes...like charlie horses...Potassium triple strength pills worked like a charm..
There is now a medication to treat RLS...dnt know anything about it, but if it makes the difference between staying off the pills - getting through the withdrawal part- maybe getting 5 days supply of it from your Dr would help..
Just a thought.

you probably don't have rls....you are detoxing from opiates.
no one gets off the ride without paying the price. it doesn't last that long.
you can do this!!!!
are you tapering from the suboxone under a dr.'s plan? or are you tapering on your own schedule???

You didnt offend me at all,im made of stronger stuff than that, but you were a little hard on Thumper,IMO.
The requip is script only and it works great for my husband. If he drinks a few beers on the weekend,he doesnt take it(he doesnt like to mix)and his legs are all over the place!!!When he takes them again the next night, hes nice and calm.~KIM

Dont forget though that you need to get away from the idea of a pill fixing every little ailment- physical or emotional...
Make sure the Dr that gives it to you knows what your doing, and only take it for a short period..
Some dont believe in taking anything at all during withdrawal, but I feel if there is something that we can take it that makes it more bearable, we are more likely to stick it out..
I was so worried about the posts i was reading at the time about people not sleeping for weeks on end, and many found that the toughest part for them..no relief at night..so 24 hours a day withdrawal..
I took something to help me sleep at night...just for 5-7 days or so..it doesnt mean it was a walk in the park, withdrawing still sucked..but it made it much more tolerable knowing that at night i would be able to at least sleep and recharge my ambition...
Hugs

thanx ali......
Wally- it's a symptom of withdrawl, thats all. It will go away. Withdrawling is never fun. It's uncomfortable and it's a good thing it is. Both your mind and body are going to be haywire for a little while. If you didn't have it before quitting, it's probably not RLS.
I knew it..record timing..that thread is gone! What took them so long...now lets see if he is got bammed:(
