I shot these guys (three in a pot) yesterday. The more I looked at this fella, the more I could see his FACE. You tell me... I'm convinced that MY HP loves His/Her/Its work... ~wink~
And if you can't see it, send me an e-mail if you're intrigued.
Beautiful, Shane. I had a friend named Iris when I was newly sober. Sadly, she couldn't stay sober and died from alcohol withdrawal. She was 45. I still wonder what could have been if only she didn't relapse.
In the first picture I hear Beep Beep and see the Roadrunner. In the second picture I see the master sensei from the Karate Kid movie. I must have spent to much time with the kids when they were younger looking for Waldo. Then there were those I spy with my little bitty eye books. My youngest one would want to do over and over. Especially the Christmas book. The oldest one loved where's Waldo.
My bearded Iris's should be blooming next month. I have that same color in my yard along with other varieties. My Grandma who is 90 has always told me to uncover there tubular root and expose it to the sun or they won't bloom. I can't remember if I've always done this. I think I have though. It's actually been to cold in the 30's at night here so I have to wait. Hope your not in Mobile saw on the news they had 11" of rain. Flooding in certain areas. Those beautiful flowers of yours would be a bit spoiled to.
Spring really is coming...hard to believe up here. My irises won't be up for at least another month. I saw her little face right away skg, thanks for the breath of fresh air =)
Bearded Iris? I'll have to look that up. I thought it was absolutely a HOOT--and its puffy cheeks, darkened outline of pursed lips, and tall eyes. I've since printed a couple 5X7 and put them up in the office! I imagined it with a stuffy, deep UK accent in a Disney full-length feature!
Case building, Kat, has NOTHING on THIS alcoholic mind! I've just created a Full Length Feature FILM!!
Mom-N-More! Sitting here in my BU sweatshirt (the gal from MA in the Miss USA pageant wne to BU) and I realized I'd just been glazing right over ya! How've you been up there in the frozen tundra? This one's for you--just shot it about 2 hours ago--spring WILL get there. Might be June 21st, but it'll be there eventually... LOL Dwarf Azalea bush--never SEEN so many blooms on the azaleas this year!
Aww...thanks skg, I loooooove azaleas and that is a truly lovely color, sort of a salmon or coral...just beautiful. I have a half dozen azaleas, but the ones in the front yard are getting a bit leggy as the trees in front have gotten so large they now block the sun on that side. But the ones in the main yard will be fabulous this year. I can't wait to starst tilling...my husband was out today turning the asparagus beds and getting his veg garden ready...and yet he's going to VT skiing in the morning.
Keep taking photos (which you do quite well I might add...) it gives me hope that it won't be long now...
