Hello all,
Well it is new years eve 2007. At this time at the turn of the century (!!), I made a pledge with myself to sort myself out. That was of course back in 2000, and it has been a rather long journey to get where I am now. I actually got worse for a while before I started to get better - bit by small bit. I expected miracles, but it doesn't seem to work like that! It has been very gradual, and now I have ten months of no drink or drugs under my belt. I have felt very negative, stuck, tired and resigned for a lot of that time. The people on this board have helped me see that sobriety is actually a wonderful journey to be embraced, and for that, I thank you all.
Wishing everyone a great new year!! I will be watching a bit of TV, and reading!! I have saved the last two chapters in my current book for tonight. I might even have a glass of non alcoholic fizzy pop!!
