The Winds Of Life

Hey Everyone

Well i have been off the boards a bit lately and I am starting to think about the rest of my life, Ma being crook and all and also the relationship i have with my wife which at the moment is sh#t, and 1/2 of that is my sh#t yes
I can only post a bit as I.m copping sh#t for being on the computor a lot, bugga being a 2 or 3 finger typist So if there are gaps in my replies then i apologise ahead of time.

We will sort it out as this is not a lot of fun at the moment i have always been the blame for a lot of things and i am used to taking the blame as it is the easy way out, but no longer...I am not perfect and i have my bad points

I am who i am and i have to make a stand or the what if's in my head will drive me into my H.A.L.T.S. more

Light and love Zac

Hey Zac
sorry you are going through a tough time. Remember, Christmas is a tough emotional time and things can seem very overwhelming.

Take a deep breath, and then another one. Say the serenity prayer - really slowly - and really think about what belongs in part A and what belongs in part B.

Are you accepting the things that need to be accepted? Are you taking action to change what needs to be changed?

Are you dealing in reality or stuck in wishful thinking?

take care
Idgie.
Zac...
I am sending prayers your way...I know as I am changing and learning to love myself, my relationships are also changing....for a bit, my husband was almost angry when I would go to a meeting but when I asked him why, he said he was a bit jealous but that's okay, once I acknowledged his feelings and we talked about them, it didn't hold any more power and the jealousy went away...I include him in my recovery...I need to remember that I'm changing so much and I have to allow them to change and I also say the serenity prayer, daily, hourly at times...

Remember, bottom line....you have to take care of you...pray to God, ask for his guidance and be true to yourself....

(((hugs))))
Stacey

Dear Zac,

I can relate to the whirlwind of life...I am being swept about emotionally too. My sponsor says to practice self-care(keeping an eye on H.A.L.T is a very good start).... keep my side of the street clean .....and do not pick up a drink or a drug .

Being sober doesn't make us perfect.... but we are sober and it is progress not perfection.

Just keep putting on foot in front of the other and you will eventually walk out of the woods...no matter how dark and deep it seems right now.

You are a wonderful sober inspiration to us all...and for that I am very grateful.

Carolyn
Thanks everyone

What a difference a day makes, already talking more relaxed and things feel fine.
I must say that sometimes my emotions are very fast to change and they can be good as gold then in a second everything is sh#t so i have to be carefull if that happens not to make any rash decisions and as i like to say get it out of my head and talk, talk, talk.

Things will be cool and Hey Ginge don't worry about the sister in law mate as that is all the what ifs and at the end of the day she should understand as its about being true to ones self

Light and love Zac
Hi Zac...they say feelings aren't facts although there are times when it feels that way...this is an emotional time for you...a wise woman one time told me when in doubt don't do anything...its advice that has worked...take care of you...when and if a decision has to made on your marriage you will know...I have found praying, meditating, reflecting, talking through my issues or concerns helps me to make better decisions...Its hard when you are in the thick of emotions...but keep working your program...Prayers, hugs, and love Gina
Just wanted to let you all know I can sooooooooooo relate to all your posts...thanks for sharing so openly and honestly. It helps me tremendously!
