Life is but a blip here today gone tomorrow so why are we allowing people to bring us down, why do we allow others to feed on our misery, why are we not enjoying our lives? why do we apoligise for being human, why do we apoligise for being hurtfull but never change? so many whys then there is the ifs if only i had more money, if only i was loved the list is endless. We all know what we have to do inorder to get into recovery yes it is hard work yes some will relapse and most definitly we will all experience times of depression and hardship emotional turmoil but even with my drug of choice i still experienced these. lets try to start the new year on a positive note we are still alive we still have choices and abilitys lets sort out the whys and adapt to the ifs and try harder to focuss on the recovery we so desparatly want.
Sinse i got into recovery ive learnt so many things that list is also endless.

You are so right, Jacky, and life is way to short..I watch my girls grow everyday, and want to stop time..just to enjoy them a little more...there is so much wasted energy in anger..

Great Post. I'm not bringing in the New Year so well though. My son has the flu I think that's what it is. Up all night with him. Poor baby has been vomiting, diarreah and running a fever. It's strange too, Hes had the flu shot in Oct I believe it was.
I can look at the bright side of it though, I get to take care of him and feel like a real Mommy. I felt real important all night long. Taking care of him is something I'm thankful to be doing. I wish he wasn't sick of course but he could had been sick at his dads instead of here and I wouldn't be able to do what I'm doing for him.So our New Years party today is going to consist of chicken noodle soup, crackers and ginger ale.

Thank you, My son is actually feeling a little better right now. We took a 2 hour nap so now I'm even feeling a little better too. Liz- I hope the little guy feels better soon. I had it around Thanksgiving. I was SO sick. It took 10 days to get over it completely. Lot's of water helped me a lot. I couldn't eat anything either. Both my kids had it too, at the same time.
