Hi there sam, how are you mate? I stumbled on this site by mistake really and im so glad that i did. The people you'll meet on here really care about each other and will aabout you too if you give this a chance. Everyone on here has thier own stories and reasons for getting to the point where we can't or could'nt go on living the life.there are some peeps who are still using but trying hard not to, those who are clean altogether.People like myself who are on various programmes for me its methadone but some are on subutex or suboxone. different strokes for different folks i guess. When i found this site i was in serious active withdrawls, i stepped off 125ml methadone, crazy crazy amounts of valium and zimovane and still smack. The advice and concern peeps on here ,strangers showed was amazing. im still on the methadone ive been on it a long time years in fact there is a great guy on here who has been on the juice for 20yrs, but i'll let him introduce himself. What i'm getting at is no matter where you are have been or are trying to get to there'll be someone on here to help. if you get nothing else you'll get a laugh us addicts are nut jobs welcome
Hi Sam, welcome :)
I have been an active member of this site for three years now and the people here rock as far as supporting one another. It tends to be a bit quiet on weekends sometimes, but they'll be around sooner or later. Until they do show up you might want to go through some of the old posts just to see what's been going on here...it can give you a lot of insight and you might even see that many are not so different from yourself.

I am the mother of a 23 year old recovering heroin addcit who used suboxone to get well. Our good friend jackofhartz has been on methadone maintenance for a long while and it helps him to live a normal life.

Tell us more about yourself, Sam.

Peace ~ MomNMore
Hey Stoke Sam Welcome!

I see our resident Kitte Kat welcomed you and shared. You're in good hands with her for sure.

I'm Brynda. One time dope fiend clean for years now.

Never was on methadone SS so I can't help in that department but we have many people here that have been and can share with you. Our Jack can absolutely give you great advice.

Bottom line is you want to make the change. First step isn't it? Everybody is different like ya know but for me besides the guilt and basic BS of every single day hustle I honestly believe knowing why is was a heroin addict helped me. Like I say everyone is different some say that is an excuse but I say it's a reason. Once I learned that I was cool.

We have sooooooooo many people that have come through here all broken and battered up for years and now are doing fabulous. They're mad busy with kids, education, family, living life as they well should so there's hope.

There's always that hope SS. Looks like you want it bad enough. I have Faith in ya. I'm glad you found this site like Kitte did and I did and so many of us did.

Summer gets a little slower in the amount of posts I think so ya might not see immediate help but we're a giving bunch. I always say all heroin addicts are so no doubt you'll get some responses. Plus we often have a fun USA vs Across The Pond Rivalry and your footaball and all that comes into play.

Cheers mate. LoL Better days ahead.
