To Bullwinkle, Cubs, And Cubs Fans, Congrats.

I've been hoping for a Yankees/Cubs series all year, both our teams made thier first step to be there. :) - Chris
Danny.........I thought about ya last night when I was watching a segment on ESPN bout the cubbies winning their division. Do you think they are going to go all the way this time?
LOL..one of the last times the Cubs played the Yankee's in a WS, Babe Ruth pointed to centerfield at Wrigley..LOLOLOLOLOL...

"In Chicago for Game 3, Ruth blasted a three-run homer in the first inning, and Gehrig made it 4-1 in the third with a solo clout of his own. The Cubs battled back, though, and after four innings the contest was deadlocked at four runs apiece. The 1932 Series was marked by animosity between the two clubs from the beginning, and when Ruth came up in the fifth with one out, he was greeted by derisive catcalls from the Chicago dugout. He responded with a gesture -- exactly toward whom or what, no one knows for sure -- and then drove a Charlie Root pitch over the wall in deep center field. This would forever after be known as Ruth's "Called Shot." Gehrig followed with his second homer of the game, and the Yankees were well on their way to a 7-5 triumph."

This is how long it's been for the Cubs. We were close in 04, except for......

BARTMAN
Rhonda, they went from last place last year..I hope this is the year
I'm no mets fan, but man...if they dont win tomorrow, what a choke that will be. - Chris
Danny, I know how happy you must feel, being a looooong time Red Sox fan. Uhhh...Chris? Don't you be celebrating just yet. The Yanks seem so blow it in the later innings even when they're ahead by a mile. Too bad : ( Not really lol

Go RED SOX!!!!!!!!!!

Fun time for watching baseball!!!!

Jan
i just got back from a wedding in downtown Cincinnati, Cubbie fans everywhere celebrating!!! Hope they win it all ( seeing as the Reds are done ).

Bullwinkle--how do you really feel about Bartman??? lol
Lilly, we won the season series. We have 2 straight wins going into the post season, and the writer for the boston globe said the Yanks were DONE in june. I'll leave out the rear view mirror comment, oh wait..guess I didn't.

Congrats on winning the division, but the Yankees have the best record in baseball since the all star break, and for once have the most youth and talent injected into this team (unlike Bond's a**) in years. Joba, does indeed rule. And currently, we own Papplebon.

And I would not celebrate yet either on your end, Congrats on winning the division. I admit, I feel more conifident (not over confident) but confident playing Cleveland, and this Angels team is much tougher than the one you faced in 2004, do not expect them to go down as easy...

And the Mets today, wow.

That's what I love about baseball, you play 162 games.

Anyway, so far its been a fun season for many fans, Yanks or not. - Chris
Chris,

It's all in good fun. Yeah I cringed the last few meetings of Yanks/Sox ....UGH
Yanks have done real well agains Cleveland this year. You gotta admit the rilvary between Boston/NY creates a lot of excitement. Love the game of baseball, especiall this time of year no matter who is playing. Good luck and may the best team win...
