Today's Thought

A.A. Thought for the Day

In A.A. we must surrender, give up, admit that we're helpless. We surrender our lives to God and ask Him for help. When He knows that we're ready, He gives us by His grace the free gift of sobriety. And we can't take any credit for having stopped drinking, because we didn't do it by our own willpower. There's no place for pride or boasting. We can only be grateful to God for doing for us what we could never do for ourselves. Do I believe that God has made me a free gift of the strength to stay sober?
wonderful thought Bob, thanks for sharing.
Hi Bob, I too, read the 24 hours a day. When I read it this am, it bought to mind the name of the new NA group I started in my county, "Surrender to Win". It feels good to know I'm getting it, one day at a time.
Hi,
Thats awsome Janet! Keep it up it only gets better. Nice to see ya'.
I am still proud of this...when I went to my meeting Saturday night (Mission Critical) I handed out the readings and the man who has 13 years clean gave me the literature to lead the meeting....other than getting tongue tied, I did very well...it was Topic night...the topic was fear...the other meeting I go to is called New Hope.
Thats great!

One of the meetings I hit now and then is called "New Life". I love the names of some of the meetings I go to. Thats great you started a new meeting. I'm really glad your doing well. One Day At A Time. Thats all we can ask for, and the only day we can do anything about is today. Have a great one.......Bob
