Traxodone??

i was given trazodone to help me stay asleep. i can't find much info on it, has anyone heard of or tried this medication??

I cant believe no one responded to your question. Trazadone is a non addicting very old anti depressent. It was given to me when i detoxed offf pills. It did not work. ASk for serequal. Trust me. You still wont sleep great but you will sleep. Take between 25-75mgs max

i got perscribed 50 mgs a night. it's called trazodone not "x". Does it work good? i've been on seroquel before and it left me all hung over feeling the next morning, but it did work good for sleep...
Has anyone else tried this? and is it actually good for depression or just sleep...?

yes it will help with sleep............thing is you have to lie down like real soon after you take it.........shouldnt give you the hangover effect seroquil did.........but honestly for me, seroquil made me feel like i was speedng my brains out.gave me anxiety and racing heart............but all drugs affect everyone differently

I was prescribed trazadone in almost every rehab I've been in. Trust me. I've been in a few. As you probably know3, insomnia is a major problem when you're detoxing. And it can last forever, it seems. Trazadone worked great for me but after a few weeks I found that I didn't need something that strong anymore. Now, I just count fish. Yes. I said fish. There used to be alot of chocolate shrooms around in the shape of fish. At one time I helped some count a cooler full of them. It made me real sleepy! lol.Ever since, I've been counting them in my head to sleep. I visualize the little chocolate fish swimming by my face in a sea of tranquil green. Usually, I'm asleep before I get to 20. Us addicts always try to fix ouselves with medication. I agree that you need something good when you're detoxing but after, if you're still having problems, try some different methods. It makes me feel good that I don't have to depend on a pill to sleep. I can't believe I just said that, seeing how I'm on methadone maintenence. I hope you get my drift though. It made me feel strong because I could get rid of those trazadone.
